My first and worst experience while hiring Maxwell Tillman Law Firm, initially they gave me an APPRENTICE to work with, not the lawyer that’s name is literally the law firm. Anyways, it started going well we got documents and footage, delayed my case until I got stuff handled. When we got further through the case (a couple months later) I couldn’t even get a court date set up, because why? The Birmingham municipal system was down so apparently I couldn’t do a damn thing but wait 6 MORE MONTHS to deal with my case. Mind you, I was in the process of moving 800 miles away so I didn’t have time for my case to get delayed ESPECIALLY not no 6 months!!. Anyways, it finally got to the day when they gave me my court date, I let the law firm know that I wouldn’t be able to pay them a dime until I get my paycheck which was literally a day or two after my court date, I urged them to give me some time to pay them, they were getting their money, guaranteed, they just had to wait. But the unexpected happened, the Lawfirm decided not to represent me during my court date, I walked in and waited in the court room for my turn, when it was my turn they informed me that my lawyer issued a continuance date, a CONTINUANCE DATE. Meaning that it’ll get delayed EVEN more JUST because I couldn’t pay them when my check was not even 48 hours away. So I was forced to represent myself in my final case. Paid the law firm more than 30% and I couldn’t even get someone to appear in court for me. Mind you, I STILL had to pay for court fees, warrants, bonds, etc. while trying to move out and having NO transportation. So yeah it’s a 1 star for me, I’d give it 0 if I could.

We hired Maxwell Tillman Law firm on March 2023 to handle a very complex case. While we appreciate the time and effort invested in our case, we ultimately decided to go in a different direction. There were some challenges that contributed to this decision. Specifically, we felt the attorney Gabrielle Humber assigned to our case lacked compassion, empathy, and was not an attentive listener. Unfortunately, this made it difficult for us to feel fully supported during this already difficult, stressful and anxious process. The primary reason we stayed with this law firm as long as we did (March 2023 - Sept 2024) was due to the excellent paralegals Sarah who no longer works there and Lindsey, who consistently provided the reassurance and support we needed—something we did not receive from attorney Gabrielle Humber. We hope to see improvements in these areas moving forward.

Apparently my case was not important enough to get a return phone call. I spoke with Attorney Gochett who seem to be very nice. She told me that she someone on her team would call me back in a couple of days. I followed up the day after to see if the firm would move forward with this case or not. I did not get a response, so I sent a email to Tamica for a response. I was told that I needed to wait and be patient. Then she told me if didn't want to wait I could follow up with some one else. I asked her if she work directly with the attorney and she never responded. She was SUPER rude and NASTY. I have started my search over to find another attorney. I asked for a supervisor and still NO RESPONSE! I would not recommend this firm to anyone. Lastly the first time I called they did not even return my phone call for a consultation, I had to call them back to get a response. To me this firm is very unprofessional!

Highly recommend for civil lawyer Kristen Gochett is the absolute best! Worked with me on a case an the outcome was amazing! Very much appreciated!! Definitely keeping Maxwell law firm as my go to lawyers in any situation!

SO I HAD A PHONE APPOINTEMNT TO SPEAK WITH MAXWELL AT 2:30 THIS PAST MONDAY ...SO WHEN I CALLED, THEY TOLD ME HE WAS DOING A COURT CASE SO... THEY FORGOT ALL ABOUT LITTLE OLE ME... THEN THEY SAID HE WOULD CALL ME BACK THE SAME DAY AND OF COURSE NO CALL BACK AT ALL.... THEN CALL THEM TODAY AND STILL WAITING TO TALK TO THE ATTORNEY !!!!!!! AND MY COURT DATE IS LESS THAN 2 DAYS!!!!

Thank you to Attorney Maxwell and Attorney Kemmer for proving my innocences! I highly recommend them both.

We just came from court. RONNIE EPPERSON is the WORST LAWYER you could ever get. He performed worst than a public defender. He claim to have been working on the case for two year. His performance show otherwise. My family had to tell him what to say and what questions to ask. The questions we ask him he could not answer. He only went by what the DA said. We will NEVER recommend or used this firm again
