His calm demeanor when I was so upset kinda calmed me..that's why we dont handle stuff..I was so mad he was so calm..very knowledgeable man..did me right give him a chance to do you right. Mr Bernard and his staff we very professional and thorough during the whole process of my workmans comp claim. They took time to explain things in detail along with videos. I was injured while working in Alabama, however I live in Oklahoma. I was given his name as a respectable lawyer, so I contacted him to see if he could help me. After the initial consultation over the phone, he started to represent me. He kept in contact with me, I always knew where I stood, and he answered all my questions, no matter how dumb I may have sounded. I was referred to the Nomberg Law Firm more than a year ago by another attorney in Birmingham who did not handle Work Comp Law. I called twice and spoke with a David Nomberg with questions about how my Work related injury was being handled by Work Comp. I was finding it hard to maneuver the waters of WC and needed advice. I was not sure I needed legal representation at that time. I merely wanted my medical treatment done correctly. David was very quick to return my calls and spent a lot of time on the phone patiently answering all my questions and explaining the Work Comp rules I was dealing with, even before meeting or taking my case. I waited a few more months before I decided I needed to retain an attorney as Work Comp had become extremely more difficult to deal with. My regret now, is that I did not retain David at the very beginning of the process. Going forward, I met with David at their office, had the process explained and signed paperwork. From that point forward they handled all the stressors from WC for me. If I had issues about treatment, payments, appointments... or any part of my care, I only had to email or call the office. Hannah and team were always quick to respond and get my issues resolved. In the end David negotiationed a settlement that was more than I would have done on my own. My hope is that there will be changes made in the Alabama laws to better protect the injured worker. Of course the state legislatures want to attract businesses so they pass bills that are for protection of the business and not their constituents. The Doctors are paid by Work Comp and that means their bosses are the Work Comp system. My injury has forever changed and effected our lives, even though it seemed like a minor injury to Work Comp, it will have an everlasting effect on us. My advice, if you are injured at work, immediately seek legal help. Even if you think you will not need it, you will. I recommend The Nomberg Law Firm.
