Mr. Sears cared about my child’s need. Deafness with a child using listening and spoken language is a low-incidence disability that school systems are often unfamiliar with. He was willing to learn about the needs specific to my child and backed our family to ensure my child’s needs were met. Shane was able to reach a solution with our school system which provided my daughter with the necessary supports, including a listening and spoken language specialist, in her school. He knows special ed law and guided me through each step. I’m a well-versed parent who works in special education, as well, but Shane accomplished what I, our advocate, and numerous professionals couldn’t in making the school system realize the unique needs in LSL communication. Absolutely wonderful to work with… personable, but fierce when fighting for the rights of his clients.

Mr. Sears helped us obtain an IEP for our daughter. He walked us through each step and helped us each step of the way. I couldn't recommend him to others enough!!!! Amazing man who truly cares about the people he helps.

Mr. Sears is very knowledgeable about Special Education and what schools should be providing their students. As someone who is a well versed parent of a child with special needs, I felt that I was still not getting what my child needed in school. I struggled to get the school to understand and work with my child that I became so frustrated and my child was suffering daily. I contacted Mr. Sears for help to see if there was anything he can do. He helped me navigate the whole process beginning to end until everything my child needed was provided by the school. He continued to provide follow ups and updates from the school and did not stop until her needs were met. Mr. Sears answered all my questions quickly and helped me feel a sense of calm working through this process. It helped being removed and having someone there to advocate for my child and their needs. I HIGHLY recommend Shane Sears and his firm.

Mr. Sears was able to get us an agreeable settlement after we had made no progress with our school district on our own. He took care of ensuring they followed the law no matter how many times they made argument against helping our child. Thank you for ensuring that our child will get the help they need!

Our family had multiple issues with our son's IEP when when he mainstreamed to Kindergarten. We were seeking FAPE with appropriate services and service providers. Shane Sears allowed our deaf child that utilizes cochlear implants and LSL as communication mode to start Kindergarten without issue on day one of school. All equipment (RMHAT) all set up and ready to go with all staff trained prior to his arrival. Appropriate services are now provided as well at school. I can't thank him enough for helping us mitigate the issues we were dealt earlier this year. He is extremely well versed in special education law and blessing to this family. Thank you.

Mr. Sears is the best out there and I recommend him to any parent that is having issues with the school system. He was very supportive and educated, I felt very pleased with him and always had answers for me and that to me is very important. I really liked that when I didn’t agree to something he immediately fixed the problem.

Mr Sears helped get my daughter the support she requires in order to make it through her day safely. The fact that he is readily available to enforce the agreement and f and when the school fails to comply is the most comforting thing I can hope for. Having a child with special needs is difficult enough. Watching the school district not do their jobs when it comes to our kids only adds to the stress. I cannot thank me sears enough for helping alleviate some of the stress. He did a fantastic job for our family.

Shane was amazing from start to finish through the entire process. He was really professional and more importantly he is really personal, as he really cares about his clients and their situation.

Mr. Sears was excellent! He helped us in every way possible and everything was done in a timely manner. We have a child with autism that has an IEP. We were having trouble with the school following his IEP. Mr. Sears took a lot of stress off myself and family because he handled everything. I can’t thank him enough.

Shane has a special needs child of his own, and fully understood the issues we were having with my son the education he is promised under the law. We had been recieving texts and calls multiple times per week to come pick our son up, and refusal to implement a behavioral intervention plan. We had issues with the bus not running as well as a general lack of communication between our sons teachers and us. Shane helped sort everything out in a civil way. Communication improved, texts stopped, and the transportation issue was solved. I'd recommend him to any frustrated parent that feels at thier wits end.
