I just would like to say that I am not shocked at all to see that Sherri Johnson Smelley became a Lawler. There was a time in my life that I was in much need of an Attorney to help in the settlement of my late husband's estate. I made a phone call to an Attorney's office to hear a warm and caring person on the other end of the line. When we met at the first appointment, I ask Sherri if she was the attorney. She said "no" but that she sure hoped to be one day, as that was her goal. I met the attorney which was very nice and professional. Everything went as we all three planned and was done in a timely manor considering how long legal things take. I was very pleased indeed. What I remember the most though is the way I was greeted into the office by Sherri. The time and compassion she showed to me and my family at each appointment. The way she guided us through each and every step and phase of the procedure, making sure we understood it all and always stopping to ask if we had any questions. That day and several other's that we had to be in the office, we felt nothing more than real concern, compassion and understanding of our needs. Sherri called me on numerous occasions updating me as things moved along. Sometimes just to check on us to see if we were ok, knowing the hurt we were dealing with. So, see this is the reason I am not surprised at all that she became an attorney because she has the heart of gold and loves to serve people with dedication and honesty.
