Hate to have to leave this kind of review but it has to be done. Summary: I hired Julie to assist with a child custody case. My case was settled, or at least i thought it was, in late 2019. The expectation when I left the court house that day in 2019 was that Julie would provide me with the signed orders from the judge once she received them. A couple weeks go by and still no signed orders. Weeks turn into months, months turn into years. During this time I requested several updates from Julie, in which she repeatedly told me she'll check into it. I even reached out to the courthouse to see if they could help me but had no luck. She finally tells me in May of 2021 that there was a mixup and my orders ended up in front of a different judge since we had a sit in judge that day in 2019. Not sure why it took her that long to find that info out but it did. I guess at that time i was no longer a priority to her. So now I'm thinking, great, I should receive my signed orders soon right? Wrong! A few more weeks go by, weeks turn into months, still no signed orders. I send more update requests from Julie during this time, same responses as before "I'll check into it". I ended up calling the courthouse again last week and finally talked to someone (The family court clerk) who was willing to listen and help me. The clerk tells me the orders were signed by the judge in May of 2021 and that they provided Julie with the signed orders. The clerk was nice enough to mail me 2 copies since I live out of town. I finally have those signed orders, some 27 months later, no thanks to Julie. Please be mindful of this review when you decide to hire her as it may save you time and unnecessary frustration in the long run.

I cannot express my gratitude for Shane and Dennis enough! We used two previous attorneys who were unable to get anything done for us and our case, we wasted time and a lot of money before finding Shane. Our case was complicated and frustrating, but Shane was able to navigate those tough waters and guide us through until the very end. I am very thankful for Shane and all the hard work he put in to get us through this tough case. Shane and Dennis are always on point and don't miss those small details that I've experienced other attorneys missing. Shane went to battle for us both in and out of the courtroom getting us the end result we needed. I was able to finally put my trust in an attorney and let him handle the worry and fear of this case for us. I am forever grateful for Shane and his experience, and highly recommend him!

I came to Shane after seeing his reviews. His reviews seemed almost too good to be true but it was worth it to go visit him considering the situation I was in that my attorney could not represent me anymore for various reasons that had to do with her knowing my opponent's attorney, conflict of interest, etc. If you're reading this now consider this a blessing that you are considering Steel city law. Shane was such a wonderful experience that I'm almost sad to see it's over. Not really lol, but he's been so wonderful. My very first conversation was Shane and Dennis Left me with so much hope going forward into the case. They were so knowledgeable and so optimistic about what I had presented to them and that never changed throughout the entire process. Dennis, his paralegal, is so very thorough. Moreover, there are moments where I broke down on the phone with Dennis worried about finances and trying to afford all of the accusations that my ex-wife was pouring on against me. Dennis did a very good job of talking to me and being more of a friend than a person I had hired. Every single thing that Shane responded to, he responded with complete professionalism, and completely shut down. Shane's knowledge of law is vast And it showed during the trial hearing. Without going into detail because I don't want to put anyone's information or business out here, Shane took the case that we had built and completely annihilated and shot holes through everything that was put against us. There are not enough words for me to express how grateful I am for searching and finding Steel City law. The outcome of my case could have drastically changed my family's lives and he did such a great job that he actually improved our lives. I will forever be thankful for Shane and Dennis and the work they put into this for me and just getting to know them as humans was a cherry on top. These guys are good people. Very good people. I will forever recommend them to anyone that is looking for someone to represent them.
