My husband and I chose this law firm out of the recommendation of a friend when we had dealing with DHR and we were not disappointed! My husband had Coby for the family attorney and Jamie as his criminal attorney in 2020 and they and their assistants were both responsive, reliable, patient with our many questions, professional and they cared. We are so thankful for the time, energy and work that they put into our case in order to make our family whole again. Even though, our case lasted 10 months, they were there every step up the way and we are forever grateful for that. They always listened to us and made us feel like we were being heard and we knew we could count on them. I know this post is basically 2 years late but that's only because I wanted to focus on our family and nurture the relationships that DHR had tried to snuff out by falsely accusing my husband and our family of things so i say all this to just say if you're wondering if you should use NXTSTEP then you definitely should because you won't be disappointed!

Without Coby, we would have lost our son. Foster/adoptive parents, when DHR goes rogue, you NEED a good lawyer. When relatives opposed to the adoption hired a lawyer and tried to destroy us to take him, DHR went along with it, ignoring their own permanency plan. We were shouted down, ignored, and even threatened. Had unfounded abuse allegations filed against us twice. DHR even tried to deny us legal counsel during the interviews, but Coby stood up for our constitutional rights. He helped us navigate a very complicated legal environment, and in the end, he not only saved the child but helped work out a solution that saved us time and money. Thank you Coby for saving our family!
