Anderson Estate Planning is a small personable law firm with exacting ability to provide big law firm service. We dealt directly with Zach in every meeting and correspondence while establishing our Trusts. We were never "handed off" to support staff or left to rely on standard form submissions. He was always directly involved in review and discussion with us of every document or form we prepared for his consideration. Zach has an exceptional depth of legal knowledge and tax implications and was able to share that knowledge, explain issues, and respond to our questions regarding exacting technical and legal detail in every document in "plain understandable language". Zach stepped us through every aspect of estate planning in Alabama to include establishing a joint trust for our personal assets, a separate Special Needs Trust, health care related documents, general durable power of attorney, personal effects documents and a Pour-Over Will for both of us. He took great care to understand our individual issues, concerns, and circumstances; then crafted an estate plan to meet our unique and specific needs. We are very grateful for the fortuitous referral to Mr. Zach Anderson by another lawyer and highly recommend him and his law firm.

I would 100 percent recommend this law firm. They really knew how to answer my questions, offered great legal advice , and helped me decide how to proceed with my mother's estate. I will definitely use them for all of my law needs in the future. they are very professional and really took a lot of time to explain things to me in great detail no matter how many questions I asked.

I’m not sure why, given all these great reviews, my experience was totally opposite. First, Mr Segal was not easy to get a hold of. He uses his cell phone and often times is set to silent. His place of business was not what I would call good, clean, professional looking, and neat. The building looks very old, needs paint, and the address numbers fell off a while ago. Mr Segal seemed preoccupied most of our interactions and only answered briefly. I would have to repeatedly send him information I had already sent. He seemed to have trouble with basic technology and it would take him an incredibly long time resending or messing with his computer trying to send something. Information was spotty with brief explanations about the legal process. I had to call him the day before my scheduled court appearance just to remind him of when it was. I am positive I would have missed my court appearance if I hadn’t asked him about it. When I did ask, at first he was like “no big deal, we got a few weeks to decide what to do “ and when I heard that, I became seriously concerned. When I told him it was tomorrow morning, he looked shocked and said “really? I thought it would be awhile “ , He also did not inform me, as my lawyer should have, that there was a option that I qualified for, if I would have known about this, the whole process could have cost me next to nothing. Instead, it was north of $5k not including what I just paid him. Not only was I not told about this, I messaged him a week after my program was over, mentioned I had found out about this free program and asked him why he never pursued it? His answer of course was “I don’t remember your case, and that program is sometimes harder than the one I had” Not the answer I was looking for. It seems to me, my case was not important to him, but it was to me. When you are dealing with law, most people, like myself, are completely unfamiliar with the process, it’s extremely stressful, you’re scared, and what you want is for your attorney to be your knight in shining armor. To assure you that everything is alright, I got your back and you have nothing to worry about. Extremely professional, knows the answer before you ask the question. Well, I didn’t get that, and the only thing I can do is at least let someone use my experience as a source of information and be aware of the possibilities before you spend your hard earned money. Most people like me will tell you, I don’t have money to just give away, every penny is accounted for.

My parents and I went into Mr.Anderson’s firm initially apprehensive about how we were going to come up with an estate plan that would fit our unique circumstances. But Mr.Anderson was more than ready for the challenge and presented us a plan that perfectly fit our needs. By the end of the meeting we were incredibly happy with our decision to go to Anderson Estate Planning and we have been recommending him to our friends and family members who are also looking to do an estate plan.

Mr. Segal is a very knowledgeable and professional attorney. I found him to be very personal with a great sense of humor! He took the time and was able to explain all of the legal jargon that I had questions about in Layman's terms concerning my heir property matter. He informed me of everything I needed to know. I would highly recommend him to family and friends.

Zach walked us through the estate planning process and set up plan that was perfect for our situation. He walked us through everything we needed to know and made the entire process simple and easy.

I cannot say enough about the personalized service Zach provided for my mother. Making sure she understood the next best steps and making her feel like she was the only one in the room.
