I called her office and spoke half a sentence before being cut off and told to hold. When the woman came back, I explained that I just wanted someone to go over the divorce papers with me before I signed them. The woman told me that I would need an appointment for a consultation, she charges $250 an hour, and it would take up to two hours to go over the paperwork for a contested divorce. I'm not doing a contested divorce, money isn't a problem for me, and her attitude chased my business elsewhere. Got the feeling they care more about money, than helping people.

Going into this divorce I was very scared and didn't have any knowledge about anything. Mrs. Parker and Mrs. Lynn was there for me every step of the way and insured me that every thing would be ok. I had never stepped foot in a court room and I was so nerves, but when I tell you I had the best lawyer ever!! Words can't really describe how brilliant Mrs. Parker is. She knew everything about the military and she came with things that I was shocked that she found out about my husband. I won the case and received more than I had even expected to get. JoAnna represented me in my divorce. I believe she had my best interest at the center of all that was going on. In addition she is incredibly knowledgeable on military divorce. Both she and her assistant, Lynn are kind and compassionate and made an incredibly difficult situation as best as it was going to get. Ms. Parker worked diligently for me throughout my contested divorce case. She is professional, knowledgeable of Alabama family law, and compassionate. Jo Anna Parker, hands down, the best attorney out there. Without getting into detail, I will say I was terrified that my kids would be taken from me by their father, and it was by far the scariest situation I have ever experienced. From the moment I called and spoke with Jo Anna, she was 100% honest, and told me what I needed to hear, not what I wanted to hear-but assured me she would do everything in her power to help me keep my children. Through this 5 month battle, she stood by her word, and was always there when I needed her- almost instantly. As a mother I can say just the thought of losing your children is enough to break your heart. She stopped that from happening, for me. If you want an attorney that will look out for you, fight for you, but is personable and supportive - Mrs. Parker is the one you want on your side!
