My friend used Joshua's firm to represent her in the most important event in her life, a private severance case, effecting custody of her minor child. She was very pleased . Joshua was very responsive, understanding and aggressive as a lawyer. This case included legal firsts in arizona, and joshua and his team responded. They were also very supportive as the case when thru many twists and turns. They won, and she was able to keep her child, and she has many good things to say about joshua and firm.

The attorney that called me was rude . I paid $50 to speak to someone who , “ done this for years and knows what she’s talking about “. I just hung up on her .

This lawyer is by far the worst lawyer. If you want to spend a lot of money and get absolutely nothing you ask for, then hire him otherwise find a different one. He will lose you money and take it. He’s nothing good. If you want to spend thousands, have a rookie lawyer (while paying joshs fees) show up to your meet and confer with the judge, loose thousands in back child support with no accountability to make it right, lose your whole case and never have any clue what is going on with your case because there’s never any communication. You should hire josh. otherwise don’t spend the money. I’m beyond upset about the way everything about my case turned out and pissed I didn’t keep looking for a different lawyer. I also posted a bad review before and got asked to remove it thinking things would be made right and I was so wrong when I was asked for another 5k to make things right.

Barreda law firm is a true definition of team work. Huge thanks to Erin, Bonnie, Leticia and Joshua! They are amazing in the case representation and the knowledge with child custody. They were always available to answer any and all questions. I never imagined finding such an amazing law group. They take all the stress away after every call/email. We needed a bulldog team to help represent our case with so many lies piled against us. If you are going against someone who tries to manipulate, gaslight and intimidate you and the child custody laws, Barreda law is the perfect law firm to help ease the stress and frustration. They worked diligently in our case and even got our attorney fees granted! Couldn’t be anymore thankful to this law firm. I 1000% recommend!

I am writing this review because I feel strongly that it should be shared in the event others find themselves in a hard place, like I found myself in. During the most trying time of my life Bonnie was not only a fantastic lawyer but grew to be a dear friend. Bonnie is somehow professional and personable, extremely knowledgeable but also willing to learn & research. Bonnie helped me to also understand the process every step of the way. She took interest in my case and it felt like it was her personal fight to get my kids back, which she ultimately did. My family and I are so grateful for Bonnie, and I would implore any other family to hire her as well.

If I could give Bonnie more than 5 stars I definitely would. I hired Bonnie for custody of my son, and let me tell you, I made the right choice. I think the general population only seeks a lawyer in a time of need and I was one of those people. From the start she made me feel better about the situation and helped lift the biggest weight I have ever had in my life. I worked with Bonnie for a year and a half and there are some definite things I can tell you, SHE CARES! Not like you are paying her so she should care. I'm talking really cares. I always felt like she was invested in me, my son and our case. She was upset about the things that I was upset about, happy about the things I was happy about. We had the same goal and I felt like she was my team captain. She took the time to learn how I was as an individual and before I could even ask questions she already had answers. She would even remember the tiniest details from the beginning that even I had forgot about. I never felt like a number or a client. I have and would recommended her to anyone looking for a lawyer. You are truly getting the best there is to offer and I mean that with all sincerity.

Josh is PHENOMENAL in the court room!!! He is knowledgeable with the law. His craft and performance is above and beyond. Witnessing Josh in court is like watching a movie! I had my share of 6 different attorneys and Josh is by far the BEST there is. He really fought my case like it was his own. I retained Barreda Law after my ex husband obtained temporary court orders restricting me to have any contact with our son. I had a previous attorney but my ex husband had a conflict of interest with my previous council due to his retention of him for a consultation. Unfortunately, my previous counsel did not take my ex husband on as a client but I had to get new counsel. I asked my previous attorney if he had any recommendations and he stated Barreda Law would be my best bet against a well known unethical attorney here in Yuma. So I called them same day, retained them, and I do not regret my decision. First and foremost, I had A LOT OF QUESTIONS for Bonnie, who represented me in my case. I mean, A LOT. I was freaking out, nervous, and in shock. She handled my concerns very well. She did not have any unnecessary contact with me regarding my case in order not to accumulate any attorneys fees that were not necessary. Which was very much appreciated. Their rates are reasonable compared to others as well. And from my experience with Bonnie, she is a SHARK. She handled all my documents well and never misplaced anything which was great. Also, she pointed out AN ENORMOUS amount of discrepancies as well as unethical practices from the opposing counsel. She did not hesitate to call them out in court in front of the judge regarding submission of evidence and exhibits in an untimely manner as well as the submission of pre-trial statements a day prior to the hearing. Her cross examination however, was what was beyond amazing. She seems to be very reserved, but when Bonnie is in court, she is professional, but very assertive. She did a fantastic job handling my case, handling the opposing counsel, and cross examination of my ex-husband. Ultimately we got what we wanted, which was the temporary orders to be dismissed. I am very happy with the outcome of my case and how Bonnie personally handled everything. Her communication was also great. I received all my documents from her and her paralegal Loni as soon as they had them from opposing counsel and when I had questions they were promptly answered. Furthermore, Bonnie did warn me about possible negative outcomes of this case and did not get my hopes up. Which worried me at first but I am glad no false promises were made.

I retained the Barreda Law in December 2021 for my divorce. Within 24 hours of retaining the firm, the owner, Joshua Barreda filed suit and had the opposing party served. From that very first engagement I knew I had made the right choice. Joshua is a high tempo, smart, and strong legal advocate for his clients. He always made the extra effort to calm my fears, uncertainty, and doubts. Throughout over a year long process of constant unreasonable and aggressive tactics employed by the opposing party, Barreda Law consistently blocked and tackled in an incredibly professional and timely manner. Joshua is a solid litigator in trial, although he made every effort to resolve issues prior to trial through mediation. Every opposing argument was extinguished in trial and in the end, he reduced the maintenance length by 85% from the original opposing proposal, secured 50/50 custody for both of my children, and reduced my long-term child support obligations by 25%. The firm is incredibly responsive and friendly to interact with. I especially enjoyed get immediate assistance/guidance from the astute and experienced lead paralegal, Karen. Thank you to Joshua, Karen and the entire team for being such fantastic advocates for my case.

This law firm is great! My lawyer was Erin Walters, she was amazing. She guided me through the entire process with ease. She is calm and collected on the surface but aggressive in the courtroom. I would highly recommend Erin!
