In April 2014, our family was faced with the most unfathomable legal battle any family could ever imagine. Having never been in trouble with law enforcement for nothing more than a speeding ticket, trying to determine where to turn for a lawyer we could trust, was something that we had absolutely no experience at. Having just turned 18 years old a few months prior, our son had been arrested and charged with 30 counts and was facing over 350 years in prison. How do you navigate that? Who do you turn to when something like this happens to your family? As we were in pure panic mode when he was arrested, we paused, took a breath and looked diligently at many firms. We ultimately found our comfort and confidence in The Cantor Law Firm. Their team was professional, knowledgeable and went right to work on navigating the tangled web of chaos presented for our son’s case. This wasn’t an easy task, as the case had prompted local, national and ultimately, worldwide media coverage. The team of lawyers and support staff assembled to battle what appeared to be a lost battle right out of the gate, was nothing short of amazing! Michael Alarid III, who was one of the lead attorneys assigned to our son’s case, did an incredible job, both inside and outside of the courtroom. His personal and hands on approach to his client was something that made all the difference in the outcome, and kept our son from serving the rest of his life in prison. Michael’s work ethic and long hours vested into bringing our son home, was exactly the type of attorney we were searching for when the chaos started. It was awful. I needed them for family court. They started out very professional then I paid my retainer, but I was never represented, my lawyer favored the father. I also never met my lawyer everything was done over the phone. Only paperwork was completed and that cost me $7500. My lawyer tried to force me to settle. When I refused he became frustrated with me. When he asked for more money I let him know I didn't have any at the moment. He then refused to go to court and told me "Don't litigate like a millionaire if you can't pay like one." and by going to court I will be taking food out of his kids mouth because it was $2500 more to represent me in court. It is not that I didn't have it just I didn't have it when he wanted it. I had just gave them $7500.00 a month and a half before. He told me I would lose, I will end up paying the fathers court fees and he believed the settlement was fair... Well I am representing myself now and had I known what I know now I would have never hired a lawyer. My lawyer (Bryan Blehm) knew nothing about my case, when I asked him questions he never gave me any straight answers, his paralegal is the one who knew more about it. Word of advice to anyone wanting to use this law firm be prepared to over pay for their services. You really just need a good paralegal and you can represent yourself. Cantor will do just enough to represent you and say they fought hard for you and make you look like your the one being unreasonable for calling them out on doing the minimum and over charging you for it. If you don't mind overpaying for a lawyer go ahead and use this firm. They will treat you better if you are a millionaire. Unfortunately, I am not so my experience was very bad.

If you find yourself in legal trouble of any magnitute you have 2 options. 1.Stress about it and take years off your life 2.Retain this law firm to represent you. They are the best at what they do and that is figure out how to ensure their clients can go home to their families. Aside from being friendly and very accessible, their knowledge and experience is unmatched in the phoenix area minimally. The BEST DECISION you can make after the stupid one you made breaking the law....is HIRING THIS FIRM TO REPRESENT YOU. POINT BLANK

Met with David and was give general information. Was then given a different lawyer, which was expected. This lawyer was very difficult to get a hold of and had limited patience for our question. He also lead us to believe that the fines included all costs. We did not get the bond back which is standard for the courts but we were not informed creating a difficult financial situation. This was compounded by the fact the more costs were to be added by the courts as a requirement. Not that this is the lawyers roblem but when trying to discuss all options this was minimized. We would have made completely different decisions had we been given all the information we requested. The process was very rushed and we felt as though we were a constant burden rather than a client. Would recommend to all future clients to insist all questions and avenues are addressed before hiring.

The law firm really helped my family out

Cantor Law Group worked with me through my divorce proceedings, which were very tedious, drawn out and flat-out 'ugly'. I had the pleasure of working with Tiffanie McMillan, Nik Boca, Allison Saunders and Robyn McCraw! Each of them were extremely professional and detailed as well as personable. They understood the emotionally draining nature of going through an ugly divorce and were considerate of that...but once they hit the courtroom...WOW!! They operate with the utmost integrity while still being able to represent me with the aggressive, direct approach needed. I could not have asked for better representation!

I hope in writing this review I help someone in the same position I was find an answer. I hired Nic Boca with the Cantor Law Group to assist me in Terminating Parental Rights. Mr. Boca was the best decision I have ever made! He and his associates truly treat you as a client and make you feel you have a strong team in your corner. Nic kept me up to date on everything I needed to do and what he needed from me. He paid attention to every detail and aligned his goals with those of mine and my family's. Mr. Boca had experience in the juvenile court he was familiar with the circuit and has presented cases before my judge in the past. He knew how my judge worked and what they expected. This proved to be very valuable. Needless to say he won my case and gave me and my family the lives we have been waiting for!!! I interviewed attorneys all over the Phoenix area and was very careful with my decision. My first consultation was with Nic. He left an impression on me and made me feel like I could trust him.. Turns out I truly could!! Attorneys are costly any way it goes but with Nics firm I never felt I was being taken advantage of! I knew exactly where my money was going at all times because they made sure I did! Cantor Law Group is A+++ if I ever need an attorney for any reason I will call these guys again!! True professionals

This guy is a great lawyer. He always answers my calls. His guy will fight for you until the end. Hire mr. black he will fight for you.

I would NOT recommend this firm. After paying right around $8,000.00 the outcome was not what we had hoped for. Also for claiming to look out for the child, they emailed resolutions with some other kid's name. They also sent us a settlement letter of some other client's case!!! If they can't get the names right, makes you wonder how invested they are in your interest. I'd say look somewhere else.

I had such a good experience with David for my OOP hearing, that I got the team back together, for the DV hearing, and he performed as expected. I wish I could bring him into family court, not having the same experience with my family court attorney. David is aggressive, has a wealth of knowledge, and is extremely passionate, in his pursuit for justice. David has a tremendous court presence, and he knows exactly what to say, and when to say it. In court David controlled my behavior, and kept me in check in spite of the emotional roller coaster I was on. David made me feel very comfortable in trusting him with my case. I hope I never find myself in need of a criminal attorney again, but if I do David Black is my first call. Highly recommended Update: After watching other attorneys at work, and their courtroom saavy. I must admit that David definitely deserves more than 5 stars. I have since requested that David consider family law, so he can handle my case with the professionalism, and passion that it is warranted. Unlike other attorneys David truly cares about the outcome for his clients, and is NOt just going through the motions. 8 STARS
