We found Downing Allison and Jorgenson in the US Health & Human Services website under the Vaccine Injury Compensation Fund listing of attorneys who work on vaccine injury claims, 15 years ago. My first telephone conversation with Andrew Downing was spent crying over the telephone while attempting to tell Mr. Downing our story of how our teenage son was in a comatose state in a hospital a few short months after getting the flu vaccine. Years later, when our son met Mr. Downing virtually to sign settlement documents, Mr. Downing's first job was convincing our son that there was such a Fund, that his injury was compensable, that Mr. Downing was a legitimate attorney, and that our son would be receiving a settlement. We paid $0 for this firm's tremendous legal skills and services since our legal expenses were also covered by the Fund. When we finally met Mr. Downing in person to thank him and his firm, he told us he was simply doing his job. I cried then too.
