It is an honor to provide a review for Erin Goodnow and her GoingIvy service! What makes Erin unique is that she truly listens to the student and understands what their aspirations and interests are. Then she helps them present the best version of themselves. She has remarkable insights and truly sees this process as a partnership - with the entire family. She helped my daughter identify which aspects of her activities to highlight and how to tell her story in a unique voice. She has a very calming and soothing disposition which worked perfectly with my daughter's personality. She would respond to emails and drafts within 12 hours, sometimes even sooner. We would have been lost without her. And I am proud to say that without any 'hooks' my daughter got into her first choice - an HYPSM college. We will be back again for our second daughter. Can't imagine going through this journey without Erin by our side!

If you need any help getting your students ready for all things college admissions, look no further. The consultant I worked with quick, efficient, reasonably priced, and a lot of fun to work with. Additionally, their website is a trove of college admissions knowledge. However, it's the consulting with their team members that I loved the most. Overall, it was just a lovely process.

I CAN'T EMPHASIZE HOW MUCH HELP GOINGIVY WAS! Initially, I was incredibly concerned about college applications. I knew I had the capability to get accepted into a lower acceptance rate college, but had no clue where to start. As soon as I started working with Mrs. Erin, I knew that I was in good hands. For every essay I wrote, she responded very quickly and with great advice on how to improve my writing skills. With her help, I ended up applying to fifteen colleges, and I couldn't be more excited to see where I end up!

Working with Erin Goodnow has been great. I give Going Ivy the highest recommendation and encourage my friends with high school aged kid to talk to work with her. My advice - reach out to her early. If you have a high schooler, consider talking to Erin early in the junior year -- just to get a sense of the process. Erin helped our daughter tremendously. She worked with her to narrow focus and to develop a meaningful list of schools. Regular zoom sessions allowed Erin to coach our daughter, give her feedback on her applications, and allowed parents and kid, both, to move through the process in peace and with confidence. I am writing this while my daughter's college search is ongoing. She has heard from some schools and awaits others. And I think that is the right time to write a review. It is not about guaranteed acceptance or even about the "dream school." Instead the college search is about finding the right fits, your kid doing the application work, and then having patience. Erin provides solid guidance, advice, and counsel. Our daughter has enjoyed working with her, and I am confident that Erin will provide great guidance as she makes her final decisions about where to go next. We have a younger son. My best recommendation - we look forward to working with Erin again.

I hired Going Ivy to help with tutoring my son for his ACT. He has high-functioning autism and has issues with reading comprehension related to his particular delays. His tutor is excellent. In the past six weeks, she has taught my son strategies that have helped him to raise his reading score by eight points and his English score by 10 points. I can't recommend Going Ivy enough.
