First off I would like to give a huge thank you to Jefferson Simmons and his team at Valley of the Sun Law. I hired Mr Simmons and he was excellent throughout my entire case! He represented me with professionalism and mastery. He explained every step in detail and if I had questions he answered them at length. He is extremely understanding and supportive. I know that I can still go to him if I have any lingering questions and he will be there with an answer. He alleviated the majority of my stress throughout the entire process and I am truly grateful for his support.

Jefferson was my attorney from the beginning from the day after my arrest. I had a DUI in Scottsdale that occurred while my out of state license was suspended. This led to complications which could have led to a class 4 felony. This would have essentially destroyed my newly found career, any opportunity of advancement, and would have resulted in a lot of prison time (not jail, prison). Through over two years of the litigation process, a very favorable outcome compared to the initial offer was reached. I ended up with an misdemeanor DUI charge and a (temporary) undesignated class 6 felony. I did have to go to jail but after a week I was in the work furlough program for the remainder of my sixth day sentence and was able to keep my job and work six days a week. Initially there was a huge misunderstanding with the jail, but Jefferson went out of his way to call both the jail and the judge to have things made right. After only 10 months of probation (court ordered 24), Jefferson submitted a motion to have the felony reduced and I now do not have the endangerment felony on my record. This legitimately saved my job and has allowed me to continue moving forward with life. I should let it be known throughout the way there were many hurdles. I got pulled over when my license got suspended initially and Jefferson had that dropped. To those unfamiliar with the legal process (me), it often seems as if questions may be unanswered, but that’s just the nature of the business. Jefferson was always reassuring and there during the entire nearly three year from start to finish process, and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone in a similar situation. He helped me keep my life on track and maintain great standing in my career.
