Carlene Simmons is the BEST! She succeeded in helping my wife and me get a fresh start in life financially. We are so happy, joyful, and grateful! Her service was EXCELLENT, a 5-Star service in my book. She is highly knowledgeable with the bankruptcy laws & procedures for AZ, and therefore, guided us meticulously through all the bumps and hoops that we faced in order to achieve our goals. She took the time to thoroughly go through the details with us and addressed all the questions on the petition form are answered correctly. In the end, after approximately 3.5 months later, we got our Bankruptcy Chapter 7 case discharged by the court. It was a MIRACLE! After all the difficulties we had to go through in this process, we did not expect it to be discharged without any condition. What a big relief that was? Prior to working with Carlene, we had initial consultations with 2 other bankruptcy attorneys. The first attorney reviewed our inputs, and told us that we don’t qualify for chapter 7, and since he does not do Chapter 13 he cannot help us. The second attorney said that based on our inputs, we don’t qualify for Chapter 7, nor Chapter 13. Told us that we are stuck in the middle where he cannot help us. We don’t qualify for Ch7 because our income is too high. We don’t have any money left over to pay the creditors for the Ch13. And did not spend any more time with us to do the long form or look at other deductions. Then without giving up, we found Carlene Simmons. After the initial consultation with Carlene, she told us that we definitely can qualify for a Ch13 for sure based on her calculations. But our income was a bit too high and therefore do not qualify for a Ch7. She gave us a chance and actually worked with us through all the paperwork and details. She actually spent more time with us and sincerely wanted to help us. We can sense that she cared about helping us. Because she is very knowledgeable with the bankruptcy forms and different deductions or expenses, her calculation gave us the conclusion that we can qualify. What a major difference in services there? We cannot thank her enough for this! I HIGHLY recommend Carlene M. Simmons.

Carlene came highly recommended by a lawyer friend and she did not disappoint. I had a complicated bankruptcy case involving large sums of money, including personal assets and debts as well as business assets and debts for several small businesses. Carlene was thorough, patient, knowledgeable, personable, and knew the ins and outs of the bankruptcy system and how to make things go smoothly. It was 6 months from when I initially contacted Carlene until we were ready to file (most of that delay was on my part and my business partner's part), then 3.5 months from filing to bankruptcy discharge. Given the complexity of the case, I think this was a very good timeframe, from what I hear. Of course I do not want to go through bankruptcy again, but if I had to, I would gladly choose Carlene again as my lawyer. She helped me to feel good about it and not worry.

After our bankruptcy was confirmed Carlene would check in on occasion to how things were going and if we had any questions or needed anything regarding our case. If we contacted Carlene for anything regarding our case she was very prompt on getting back to us, even on the weekend. Our case completed and was discharged in August 2022 and Carlene is still keeping us updated on things we need to know.
