I hired Mr. Jackson to review my documentation and the employment issue I felt I had. Mr. Jackson took the time to review my information and provide me with his opinion of the chances of winning a settlement. After talking with Mr. Jackson I elected not to go further. I felt good about my decision, saving me money and time. Closure...priceless.

When I first met with Darrel Jackson, I had recently lost a long-held job, and I was now stuck adhering to a long-term restrictive covenant. I was fearful for my career and for the financial future of my family. At the time, I was unsure of myself and terrified to take legal action. Darrel took his time and carefully listened to my story over a number of visits. I brought him some evidence to support my assertions, which he carefully and thoughtfully evaluated. After carefully processing and re-assembling all the parts and pieces of my situation, Darrel made it very clear to me and my wife that he felt we had a very solid case that was well worthy of litigation. However, we didn't want to litigate, we were still scared. Darrel was compassionate and understood. He did not press. He did exactly as we asked and instead of filing suite, he exchanged a series of legal letters back and forth. Finally, due to a lack of adequate response, it was time for us to either file suit and litigate or let our Statute of limitation expire and be left to face the full enforcement of the restrictive covenant. After Darrel spent time to explain the entire legal process involved to us when litigating, my wife and I became comfortable with the process and followed Darrel's legal counsel by initiating litigation and filling for injunction on the restrictive covenant as our first step. Our motion for injunction was heard in Federal court and Darrel prepped me very, very well and in advance of the court date. He prepped me so well that we prevailed (overall) and accomplished exactly what we set out to do with that motion. For the many countersuits that were soon filed against us thereafter, Darrel helped me and my wife keep our wits about us and stay focused on producing and evaluating the required discovery requests from both sides. We soon found out that the legal process is not one that anyone would consider as speedy. Again, through it all, Darrel helped us to stay the course and remain focused through his compassionate and always confident demeanor. Although Darrel made sure we both understood that the upcoming settlement hearing was technically just a formality with no assurances or guarantees, he also astutely pointed out that he felt that the other side was getting ready to legitimately consider engaging us in settlement discussion, prior to the conference. Darrel was right! He told us that any chance of meaningful settlement discussion would first require me to endure through a day-long deposition by the other team. Again, my wife and I became frightened and less sure at the thought of me being deposed for 8 hours, but Darrel was right there to remind us that he felt we were on the side of right, and not to worry at all because he would make sure that I was fully prepared in advance of the deposition. Darrel did a fantastic job prepping me for the questions the other side might ask me and presented me with the evidence from their side that he thought they would try to use to rattle me. He was right on all accounts. In the end, the deposition was a breeze thanks to Darrel. This led to a very favorable outcome at our settlement hearing - an outcome of the type and size that my wife and I had prayed for many times over during the prior 16 months. Our ordeal had finally come to an end! We accepted their very last settlement offer of the day. Wow! What a process! We could NEVER have possibly gotten through it all without Darrel as our attorney. I am happy to recommend Darrel Jackson with my highest confidence. I will never be able to thank Darrel enough for all of the "above and beyond" he did for us during this most difficult time. I'll take a modicum of credit in that I followed Darrel's directions, suggestions, and strategic instructions exactly as he told to me. Darrel knew it was a good case & had the stamina, legal expertise, and chess-game thought process to see us safely through to victory! Thank you Darrel!

While exploring recommendations for representation in an employment matter with my company, I was referred to Darrel Jackson on advice from a former associate who currently holds a senior position with the Arizona Bar Association.
Though I had extensive corporate experience dealing with employment law and union relations issues throughout my career, it was unusual for me to be sitting on the other side of the table as an employee.
Darrel's ability to listen to my concerns and issues, describe potential outcomes and develop a plan of action was extremely helpful and reassuring. He was quickly able to establish a professional rapport with my former company's legal counsel and move to a successful resolution that achieved virtually all of my goals. At all times, Darrel quickly communicated status updates and followed up immediately on all outstanding issues. What could have turned into a stressful scenario, became a smooth, effective and at all times professional experience.
I strongly recommend Darrel to anyone seeking employment law representation.

When entering into a dispute and looking for representation our search for legal counsel led us to Darrel S Jackson.
The initial days entering into our lawsuit were handled extremely well by Darrel, not only did he remove any frustrations and anxiety with his expertise, but his compassion gave usthe confidence to know that we were working with a true professional.
As our case progressed and Darrel scoured through pages of information that we provided, he impressed us with his speed and abilities. He did very well at conveying information on laws that pertained to our case such as overtime laws and state and federal minimum wage requirements. Throughout the course of our lawsuit, Darrel was always readily available to address any questions or concerns that we had as well as recommend solutions to other issues that arose due to the lawsuit.
When it came time for litigation, there was no question that with his expansive knowledge and ability to relate with us, that Darrel would get the job done right. Darrel handled our resolution in a fair and honest manner in which we were completely satisfied with.
When it comes to employment law, we without a doubt recommend Darrel.

Most would agree that one should always avoid situations that would require the need to retain an attorney. Unfortunately, this was not the case for a member of my family but the situation was not created by any fault of their own.
For the sake of my family member, I took it upon myself to conduct a bit of extensive research to find the perfect employment litigator. If you find yourself currently researching you will discover there are many seemingly qualified employment litigators in the greater Phoenix metro. However, if you get the opportunity to sit down with (good luck) or speak with one of these attorneys (besides an assistant) you will discover that all are most certainly not equal.
When it comes to a serious personal matter that has potentially long-term implications on a family or a career there is much more to consider than endorsements from colleagues, years in practice or where an attorney went to law school. That being said, Mr. Jackson is the best of both worlds.
Scheduling an initial consultation with Mr. Jackson affords you the opportunity to discover an intelligent attorney that shoots you straight right from the start in a language you can understand. Additionally, you will quickly learn that Mr. Jackson is an extremely down to earth person and empathic with you or your loved ones current situation. Once Mr. Jackson is retained the consultation attitude does not stop as it does with so many other attorneys. You will find that throughout your entire matter Mr. Jackson will remain honest, communicative, affordable, timely but most critically, an effective litigator which aggressively enforces your rights in pursuit of a satisfactory resolution.
I highly recommend Mr. Jackson and the support team at his law firm. The beginning of your resolution starts with an email or call to Matheson & Matheson.
