We knew immediately after speaking with Jay that we would hire him to help us with our legal situation. I had high hopes when I hired hall & underwood but soon found out that the flat fee was not worth it.. I believe Jay thought that my case was going to be a simple property division but quickly realized that I had a complicated financial divorce. At one point he tried to have me go to another attorney when we where only 4 months from trial so I declined to that and stayed with the firm big mistake. When I went to trial we were not aloud enough time to present the case and they did not fight to get more time for more witnesses to take the stand. When I received the decree I was devastated and was told I needed to hire an appeals attorney as they would not do the appeal. I went ahead and negotiated an amended ent to my decree to relieve some of the orders. When jay did not agree with my decision he withdrew as counsel and left me hanging out to dry so unprofessional. I had followed his advise through the entire process and ended up getting screwed because the firm did not do there job and present the case to help me.. they simply ran out of fee and didn’t work for me. I would never recommend them to anyone going through a divorced.

Hands down THE BEST FAMILY ATTORNEYS in Arizona....... I know this because after being represented by the absolute worst one, thousands in attorney's fees, and having to represent myself a few times I reluctantly went in search of another family Attorney. After several months and countless phone calls I happened on Emi Koyama, their fee structure was what caught my attention however, it was at first call I immediately knew that SHE was the "David" I needed to fight my "Goliath" ( my Ex-wife had an entire family law firm at her finger tips). My husband and I hired Emi Koyama in April of 2020 to help with our case. Emi was very professional and sincere while communicating with us keeping our children's best interests as the center of our case as well as protecting the integrity of our family. She was very clear and to the point during negotiations to try to reach a settlement in order to not have to go to trial. Before Emi went on maternity leave she introduced us to Michael Mazella who took over and represented us through the end of our case. Michael did a great job communicating as well. He is a great attorney who was passionate about fighting for the rights of our family. With Michael and Emi's dedication to fighting for our family, the judge dismissed the petitioners request! BEST DECISION I EVER MADE!!! I talked to at least a half dozen divorce attorneys before contacting Hall Underwood. I was too nervous to pull the trigger with any of them. Especially when it came to pricing structure, I just couldn’t trust an open ended hourly rate. It’s terrifying! This is a decision to be made carefully.
