Melanie won a lawsuit against another lawfirm that falsely accused our towing company. She was an amazing litigator, and has tremendous organizational and listening skills. She's a fighter all wrapped up in a little pkg!! I'd hire her in a heartbeat!!

I am the owner of a large business so hiring lawyers is something I have had to do as part of the job many times. Here is why I give Melanie 5 stars: *She was referred by an attorney that knew her by being her opposition in a hotly contested case and he had a lot of great things to say (and I trust him, completely, as he is my friend) *She screened me as the client and not the other way around, although she encourged hat. She won't take the client hat can pay her but only the client that has a real case she is willing to sign her name on. She is not free, don't get me wrong, but she's more than fair in her rates. *She is up front about costs and risks - it's the firs thing she explains. Unlike almost everyone else, there was never "I'm getting you paid" or someing equally ridiculous. It was "I can't gaurantee anything in this business, no matter how correct you are legally or facually" - what? Honesty? *She is aggressive as can be, but professional - I am not embarassed by an over-the-top crazy person, but I am proud of the fact that she is no taking anyone's crap *She is not afraid to sue and will do what she says she will in her leters to the other lawyer (it really is not a threat - it is what is coming if there is not a resolution) *She litigates cases as fast as possible, doesn't take BS from anyone, and remains ethical no mater what - she tells her cliens (me, at least and she said everyone - I of course believe her) that she will not ever pursue a case to the point of crossing lines she is not 100% proud of, as in, no loss of integrity and unethical activity is not up for discussion *Dirty lawyers make her sick - she will fight them and be mad with you! She is genuinely PO'd when she calls to tell you what was filed for no reason or bad reasons like billing the file *She is in favor of the fastest resolution - she encouraged setlement at every step and encouraged me when appropriate - she is not in it to bill the file and does not bill in the shower *Nobody working with her is any different - her partner is her husband and they are high school sweethearts. Silly as it sounds, they are as good as it gets by way of "good people' and they have an adorable family you will get to know if you hang around long enough or simple talk with her or her husband, Justin *Remeber the saying "good things come in small packages" - small firm, small lady (she's not exactly the tallest one in the room, lol), but not at all small work - impressive is an understatement! *She knows the HOA community well - the regulars know her and her firm, and they don't want to mess with her unless they think they can win - insurance defense is anoher story, as that means the atorney can bill and bill and bill until someone in the big insurance company finally notices and then like magic it's time to setle! Melanie predicted this like a psychic, although she's not- she's just been there many, many times. *Ingelligence. I don't mean run of the mill smart but really, really sharp! *Ethical yet aggressive as I could have hoped for. IF you don't think this firm is strong enough for you, then you want the dirty attorney and not the one that acts professionally and follows ethical rules all attorneys are supposed to follow *Economical. NO billing in the shower or anywhere near it! Fair billing at fair rates. You do get what you pay for, but you actually get a bit more here. If you go to the lower rate lawyer, you will likely have an ambulance chaser type of person. is a fair billing that is lower than most and what you pay for...much lower and you get the ambulance chaser *I would refer this firm and specifically Melanie to my kids - that is how happy I am.
