Lack of diligence and preparation in some cases

“Virtually no information was requested of me prior to the hearing. When asked about text communication I did tell him there wasn't much- my communication with my abuser was months ago and I didn't remember the full extent of our conversation. A prepared attorney would have asked to see the texts anyway- the burden of proof is on the filer and he had literally nothing else to do to prepare.”
