Recently, my boyfriend was injured on the job. We are ecstatic that he is recovering well, however we did not anticipate the stressful turn of events that accompanied his injury. In order to protect our best interest, we felt it was necessary to seek advice from an attorney for the first time. We were given Doug Levy's name by a relative who spoke very highly of her experience with him. We have been in contact with Doug regularly since, and he has been a blessing to us. He is attentive and responds very quickly, which has been a great relief to our stress during this time. Doug Levy has been an excellent advocate in educating us on our rights as well as our resources throughout the process. The peace of mind that Mr. Levy has provided us is priceless, and for that we are extremely grateful.

Doug Levy is a lawyer's lawyer! I say this because I am a lawyer and he is mine! Of course he knows the law, better than anyone I know in his areas of expertise. He is also kind, compassionate and practices with the utmost of integrity. I am proud to call Doug my attorney, and my friend. Doug, of course, is not perfect. But he is as close to being a perfect an advocate in the areas of PI and medical malpractice as a client could ever hope for! Thank you, Doug, for actually improving the reputation of attorneys in our community!

I had a Doug Levy represent me on a motor vehicle accident back in 2005 after being referred to him by my chiropractor at the time. Initially I had signed with Goldberg & Osborne to represent me, knowing that I would be out of work for a while, I needed to secure some sort of legal advice. After only a couple of months with them, and only ever having received 2 phone calls, they wanted to settle my case. Let's just say the offer was less than appealing due to the extent of my ongoing injury.
I gave Doug a call and immediately liked him. I learned more from him in one phone call than the months I had been with G & O. Doug brought me in to his office and got to know me and my injuries.
He made sure that I understood the steps I needed to take to protect myself while being out of work and what information I should be aware of.
Doug won the case (goes without saying based on his reputation), and got me the settlement I deserved.
Years later, I was unfortunate enough to be in another auto accident, and naturally called on Doug to represent me again. This accident took me years to recover from and was much more complicated than the first. Doug did an excellent job walking me through every step of the way and making me feel comfortable in things that are foreign to me.
The end result was better that I anticipated and hopefully, I'll never need his services again, but if so, he would represent me EVERY time!

I had a slip and fall accident with a local restaurant and I had talked to several lawyers in Tucson (ranging from the "average" to one of the more respected lawyers in Tucson) Doug far exceeded any experience I had with those lawyers. My initial conversations with each lawyer I spoke with lasted between 5 to 10 minutes top. My first conversation to with Doug last approximately 45 minutes. He was thorough and very detailed in his questioning and logic. He was straight forward in his advice that provided me with specific information I needed to move on with my situation. Not only did he invest his time he also provided me with written communication to aid me with the steps I needed to take. He not only gave me a thorough initial consultation he also was kind enough to follow up with me with additional material. I have never had to seek Legal advice and was apprehensive about the process especially after my first 3 consultations that were not promising. Doug was easy to speak to. His whit was refreshing and I appreciate everything he has done for me and would recommend him to anyone in need of an excellent injury lawyer.

In January of 2005 my girlfriend was sitting in a car at a traffic light waiting for the light to change when an incompetent old driver suddenly drove violently into the side of her car. Her collarbone was broken and ribs were fractured. The new BMW that I had recently bought for her had $20,000 worth of damage. The old lady 100% responsible had only the very minimum amount of insurance legally required and no assets at all.
The owner of the body shop to which the car was towed said to me, You need a really tough New York-type lawyer to represent you on this, and he gave me the name of Doug Levy. Who actually is from New York.
A few days later my bandaged-up girlfriend and I were in Doug's office -- and the hospital ER had already had THEIR lawyer file a $4000 lien against my friend. Doug and his assistant chatted with us for at least an hour, getting to know us, our backgrounds and personalities, and telling us about their firm and how they did business.
He then said, after he got the full details of the accident, and the fact that MY policy on the car fortunately had $250,000 worth of "under-insured motorist" on it, "Hayford, in Tucson, a broken clavicle like this is worth about $40,000. You are obviously intelligent enough to handle this by yourself. Take your legal pad and I will tell you all the steps you need to take to get that $40,000 and that's all you have to do. This consultation is absolutely free." He began to tell me what to do -- and after a while I stopped him and said, "No, Doug, YOU go ahead and do it. I will be happy to pay you the 33% of the recovered money." He said again that I was throwing money away, but I insisted. So he took the case.
And I am SO glad that I did!
My girlfriend ended up having $55,000 worth of medical bills, which I paid for out of pocket, with CASH, while Doug began to put together a voluminous file about case. We consulted practically daily by email or phone for the next TWO YEARS about this. He was doubtful that he would get my insurance company, who had brought THEIR very top lawyer into the case, to agree to arbitration, which was what Doug wanted, rather than going to trial, which, in his judgment, would not have been as favorable to us. Eventually he did a deal with the other lawyer: if we agreed that an arbitrator could NOT give a judgment more than $250,000, then we would have it arbitrated. Eventually, with STILL more paperwork by Doug, AND rounding up witnesses to testify in our behalf, we went to arbitration in August of 2007 and got a decision a couple of months later.
The arbitrator awarded us $190,000. This was less than we had hoped for, BUT more than Doug himself thought, from his long experience, that we would normally get. So everything ended about as well as could be expected. And I will say that Doug Levy is certainly the best lawyer in Tucson to deal with any case of this nature.
Period.

We have known Doug Levy for years, and recently utilized his expert representation in an automobile accident matter. The outcome was entirely satisfactory, thanks to Doug's attentiveness and the effective support provided by his staff.
He is an extremely skillful and knowledgeable attorney, an experienced and talented negotiator, highly ethical and honest, and a thorough, caring communicator who truly understands client needs. Our case was fairly complex and involved several surgeries. It was Doug's patience, understanding of the process and ability to anticipate events that carried the day and produced a just and reasonable settlement.
He and his staff were always available for consultation, information sharing and reassurance, and the quality of documentation and analysis was consistently outstanding. We felt we were in capable hands throughout the process, and were never disappointed.
We hope never again to experience another personal injury situation, but if the unfortunate were to occur we would certainly seek Doug Levy's help once again, without reservation.
