I spent 8 months in profoundly stressful interactions with the IRS, and had made absolutely no progress in resolving my tax issue. My first interaction with Eric was what finally initiated the road to resolution of my IRS tax problem. He has been professional, compassionate, and demonstrated significant knowledge of IRS protocols in his time assisting me. Once Eric fully understood my tax issue, he referred me to an appropriate resource that was able to further assist me. I finally feel, for the first time in 8 months, this never-ending nightmare may come to an end before Christmas, and that will be the best Christmas gift ever.

Do your research before hiring them. We had 3 outstanding tax debts, IN, AZ, and IRS. In the case of IN and AZ, Guardian only helped facilitate the establishment of payment plans...not fight for reduction of debt. In the case of the IRS debt, they obtained for us a 1 time penalty abatement, but as it turns out, anyone can request this from the IRS. No attorney needed. When we asked them fight for us to get additional fees reduced, they seems hesitate to push for that fight with the IRS. We were told it would be a months long process to file for additional abatements. We paid Guardian a large sum of money to do what we could have done ourselves. They are or were a member of BNI and have further taught me than businesses associated with BNI usually can't be trusted.

I had the most thoughtful experience with Hubert Johnson this afternoon. I live out of state and I was referred to Guardian Tax from an attorney who helped me over a decade ago, I had an intro discovery call with Hubert today, he called the IRS while I was on the discovery call, we spoke to the IRS agent and got a better understanding of the notice they sent me, he asked her questions i would've never thought to ask on my own and we had a solution in 30 minutes. And this was supposed to be just a discovery call, this was the level of service they provided without me spending a dime. Top notch.

I really enjoyed my conversation with Hubert, he was really helpful and even though I cannot afford to hire him at the moment, I wouldn’t hesitate if I could. He also urged me to call back if I needed any further advice or had questions, 10/10 a very welcoming, safe place to start.
