I didn't know this was such a powerhouse of a law firm until after I retained them to handle my divorce. The thing I liked best about dealing with them was they always treated me like a person, not just an account or client. The entire staff is that way. I especially enjoyed meeting with Mr. Goldstein because he was very understanding and compassionate. Regardless of how bleak I thought my situation was, I felt reassured and confident after meeting with him.
During the process of my divorce I also learned that G&S worked in many other legal disciplines including wills, trusts and estate matters, Immigration, and criminal law. The attorneys assigned to my case handled all of it competently and professionally. In addition to handling family law, one of them had been a prosecutor, another was well versed in immigration. About the only thing they don't handle is real estate.
I highly recommend this firm. Regardless of the type of legal matter, if it's handled by Goldstein & Scopellite I don't think you can retain anyone better.

I hired "Goldstein and Scopellite" about two years ago to take over as counsel in a complex litigation matter that was not going favorably. The case involved four attorneys and had many parties. When they took over the case, they were able to quickly review the lengthy file, develop a strategy to fix initial issues that were critical, and then develop a long-term strategy to win the case, which never would have happened if I had not hired them.
Mr. Goldstein and Ms. Scopellite, the partners of the firm, are professional lawyers who actually care about your case, just like they say they do on their website. They were attentive, personable, and helped me to understand the process much better than I did before hiring them.
I would highly recommend using this law firm and their services if you have an on-going case that is not going well. They can help turn things completely around. I would also recommend hiring them for any new legal matter; I wish I had hired them in the first place.

I hired Mr. Goldstein to handle my legal matters including my business formation, my family law case and a state agency case.
I had hired other lawyers previously who did not do what they said they were going to do.
Mr Goldstein was able to implement, resolve and win all of my cases. He redponded to my calls and did not drop the ball in redponding and submitting evidence as needed.
I would hire him again. Thank you.

I recently hired this firm, in the year 2014, to help me with my complex custody battle that stems over two states and for the last several years. This firm is still handling my case. However, since I hired them and they took over, I have made great progress. I had been to several other lawyers who really messed up my case and hurt my and my children's relationship, as I was not able to see my children for several years. Now I have a continuous relationship and see my children regularly and I am rebuilding my relationship with them. I am still fighting for custody of them. Yes, this case has cost me a pretty penny, but it has been worth it. We are getting much closer to what I should have been given years ago. I would highly recommend Mr. Goldstein and Ms. Scopellite and their firm to anyone. They know how to litigate and they care.

Our small firm was based in Washington State. We were named a third party in a lawsuit filed in Texas.
The two main contesting parties were a 24 billion dollar firm and a 3 billion dollar firm. Our firm sold 1 million dollars worth of products a year. We were ants among giants with only Goldstein and Scopellite to protect us. Following is the email I wrote to Sheldon upon completion of the case in 2015.
Hi Sheldon:
This message is overdue. This is because it is hard to find the words to express our gratitude for protecting us during the last 3 ½ years.
To say that the entire experience was foreign, stressful, scary and financially devastating would be an understatement. We have never been directly involved in any kind of legal action and so did not know what to expect at any stage of this entire proceeding.
We were able to take a great amount of comfort in knowing that you were there, standing in front of us, as a protector.
I know from my visit with you that you do this for battered women and I assume all kinds of other legal proceedings.
I hope you take immense satisfaction in knowing that you are bettering, and protecting, the lives of people.
Anyone can make money. To me, it looks like you are doing well and deserve it. Still to help others is a great service that not many perform.
Though it was stressful, I look back fondly at the two days I spent with you. I consider you a unique and talented individual. To have succeeded in two very different careers is quite an accomplishment. As a sales person for many years I have met many people. I count you as one of the most interesting and nicest people I have come across.
My wife, Gena, wants me to pass on her gratitude. She saw the stress in me and also took comfort knowing you were helping us.
I know that you always have a full case load and need to move on. That said, I hope you will not forget me and count me as a friend as well as a past client.
Finding words difficult, let me just close by saying
Thank You.
Mike and Gena

I can't say enough about this firm Goldstein & Scopellite, PC. The questions asked on Avvo about how I would rate this firm and my answers pretty much say it all. FIVE STARS !!!!! The firm is trustworthy and handled my financial documents with confidentiality. Their entire staff was responsive; all of their attorneys were very knowledgeable; they kept me informed and they won my case. Hire them if you need a good attorney and a great firm. Thank you.

If you need an attorney who knows the law and who will stand by you, hire Mr. Goldstein. He has passion and the experience it takes to win a case and he has either won or settled all of my cases. I saw he was voted SuperLawyer and I agree, I did read these other reviews and they have nothing to do with Mr. Goldstein's experience and what he could have done, if the person had paid their bills. The other reviews are about money and not wanting to pay a lawyer for their expertise. All a lawyer has is their time. Mr. Goldstein can charge what ever Mr. Goldstein wants so long as it is reasonable. The rates I pay him are reasonable. If you can't afford to hire a lawyer who charges an hourly rate, then hire a flat rate attorney. It is your choice. I would highly recommend Mr. Goldstein for any Business, Litigation or Family matter.

I wish I had seen these previous reviews before I hired him. Same things happened , Does not have a good knowledge of the law, and it's all about the money and how much he can aqueeze you for. Let him finish up the divorce and custody just to get it over with and hired another attorney and gained full custody of my children , which he said would never happen and it was done in less time and alot less money.

Let me start by pointing out Mr. Goldstein charged me over $23,000 for only 3 months of work, for a routine divorce. Nothing happened during the divorce to justify these charges; no unusual court appearances or anything. We had one hearing for temporary orders, where the judge basically told us that he was wasting my money. Mr. Goldstein was planning on keeping my case as adversarial as possible in order to make more cash. He was planning on filing motions for social studies and psych evaluations on my ex for no reason, and to keep the gravy train going as long as he could. There was very little progress made on my case. I was being charged over $200 for answered emails. After August rolled around and I got a bill for over $5000, I fired him. After paying my final bill I hired a great attorney, and he wrapped up my case in less than 3 months and charged me a fifth of what Mr. Goldstein did. He was brilliant and capable. I got my beautiful home back (was never an option with Goldstein), and see my kids more than I would have under Mr. Goldstein's counsel. The damage has been done, I have lost over $27k because of him, and I am not a wealthy man by any means. I would advise anyone considering hiring him to run far, far away...

No knowledge of law and just filling meaningless motions to charge client but nice tie and car. Check his education and then you would not make same mistake as me. His best artistic knowledge is that he field to exclude a marriage property in CA a community property state in divorce case in TX another community property state. You should be there to see how he made fool of himself in court and judge's laugh
