Fraudulent contracts by Attorney Don Spears were Terminated after having to hire another Lawyer

To the lovely woman answering the phones for Spears Law office in Benton, I wanted you to know that you provided me one of the most awful experiences I’ve ever had in dealing with a “professional” business. To be immediately berated and condescended to for simply asking a question and trying to clarify my options for expediting an appeal for full custody of my children, was not only completely unnecessary but also having already stated that we were going from an emergency no contact order because the father is an addict and refuses treatment plus struggling financially and having to pay for everything just to keep my kids safe, this experience actually triggered a complete emotional breakdown for me. To have my intelligence insulted and implying that I’m just cheap while already having disregarded the fact that this might be a difficult time for me in general was enough to send me over the edge that day. I used Don Spears for my divorce a couple of years ago and was satisfied with the experience I had at that time. Evidently since then a new receptionist was hired and that experience alone was enough for me to be sure I’ll never use Spears Law firm again.

Hired Mr Spears a year ago when my ex wife took me to court. Case was continued until 4/28/23. In the interim, Mr Spears kept in close contact with me about the progress of my child custody case. Yesterday in court he was spot on, showed style, grace and amusement to keep a highly emotional case, light. I would HIGHLY recommend his services to anyone needing a family custody. He never stops workig even today he shows how he cares for his clients by calling me to see how the family is doing. 5/5 stars!!! Kudos Mr. Spears!!!!

I paid him money and then NOTHING!! Left several messages, emailed and text but no reply. The secretary gave me many reasons as to why he was never there but would have him call me back. Never did!!

Don and his team have helped me navigate one of the toughest situations of my life with expertise, kindness, and understanding. Don has extensive knowledge of the law, which is paramount when you are involved in any litigation. His staff is an extension of him, and it shows through their professionalism and prompt attention. Lauren especially, has been pivotal in this process. I couldn’t recommend them to a higher degree, and am grateful for Don’s guidance through it all.

Staff unable to set a basic appointment or ensure we can speak to someone who can get us an appointment without taking more than a day. Absolutely unacceptable service.

I chose Don Spears to handle my case after reading these reviews. Very misleading. I found him to be rude, crude, and unprofessional. He quoted me a price to handle my case. I requested copies of what he filed at court and he agreed to send to me, but he didn’t. We called to remind him to send copies and ask a question about the legal process and he slapped another $400 bill on me for “phone calls”. He called the neighborhood where our property is located a “ghetto” and made other insulting remarks to me. I would advise checking with other attorneys in the area before hiring him. Otherwise you, like me, are will be making a down payment on one of his pieces of art.

I can't say enough great things within the hour we were there. They had already started working on my case that same day. They really treat you like family, not just a client
