At the recommendation of family, I hired a local social security disability Lawyer from Ft. Smith, AR in March 2022. After months of me going to Doctors appointments, filling out forms, obtaining medical records, etc. I received a letter from him in August of 2023 saying he had closed his business! I was at a loss and didn’t know what to do. I called Laura McKinnon’s office in September 2023 and she thankfully agreed to take my case. I knew nothing about her. Had only seen her commercials on TV. She and her staff were most courteous and professional and stayed in constant touch with me throughout this process. Applying for SSDI is a daunting process especially when you've experienced a severe life altering event and have extreme negative cognitive function.
