“I had never hired a lawyer before and didn't know if it is standard practice to make the retainer nonrefundable. [...] When I enquired if I could get a portion of my retainer back Crystal reminded me the contract says nonrefundable, but said she would ask Kevin. Fifteen days later I had heard no response, emailed again, and was told she didn't have a chance to speak with Kevin yet.”
