This superwoman not only took my case when no one else would she also challenged herself to practice criminal law when her specialty was educational. Her expertise not only secured my release from San Quentin as a life term inmate, she was instrumental in my being discharged from parole as well. I would recommend this woman to any seeking justice from an unforgiving system because she will fight like a badger for you.

Deborah Jacobson is a very unique lawyer. It is rare to find so many exceptional qualities in one person. She is able to assess what is realistic and what she will be able to accomplish. She is very smart, dedicated, persistent and results oriented. At the same time, she is compassionate, kind and patient. She never gives up and fights for what she knows those whom she represents are entitled to get under the law, in spite of the enormous opposition from the district. As far as I know, Deborah never lost a case she agreed to fight for. My daughter has special needs and we were repeatedly denied by the district those services which my daughter badly needed. When it turned out that the school could not actually support my daughter, Deborah did not give up and was able to go back to the district and get financial support for another placement in an out-of-state therapeutic school better suited to my daughter's needs. Ms. Jacobson is an excellent attorney that is passionate about special education. Her and her staff are helpful, kind, and courteous and they are always available. No question will ever be unanswered. She is strategic and will come up with a plan to get the services and help your child deserves. She has fought both large and small districts and always prevails. My son was denied services and the district continued to write an inappropriate IEP. The assessments were poor and he was regressing. To date, she is gotten all the services my son deserves and we got the financial relief that we deserved. The district is no longer going to underestimate my ability to fight for my son as they know Ms. Jacobson will be right behind me to make sure that they follow the law.
