Where do I start? The initial inquiry started off slow. Heard back from the attorney after a couple days. Then from I heard from their assistant 2 days after to accept payment. I drove out 40 miles to have all my court paperwork copied to help speed up the process. My case was a challenging case and wasn't expecting a miracle outcome over a program that was non existent prior to covid 19. Fast forward after the hearing. I receive the letter from the court and called the attorney. No answer and so I left a message. More time goes by....no response. I call and leave a frustrating message only to be told by an assistant the following day to upload my letter and I should hear back to discuss the decision and discuss possible advancements or ask questions about my case. Here we are today, October 12, 2022. It's been 1 month and 10 days since the court letter was uploaded to my account. Still no response about my case decision. I'm not even sure if I can appeal this time. If I can, might be too late now. I'm not familiar how court works so I hired a attorney. If I had better communication I wouldn't be as disappointed for the $1200 retaining fee.

Not helpful lot of phone tags

They went above and beyond to help me. This is a real review, not requested or paid. I won most of my cases, and I'm now appealing the one I didn't win. But I still wouldn't recommend going anywhere else. They are great at what they do. And my lawyer was very patient with me for way longer than she should have been!

Because of these lawyers my final appeal was thrown out they took forever to submit it because despite the updating my phone number with the app and with their office my lawyer consistently called my old number. But this one it would be fine don't worry about it we can still appeal but the appeal board threw out the appeal because of untimely filing and when I try to get a hold of a lawyer to speak to somebody I was told I would be called back only to find shortly after my case closed and no longer a client.

I RETAINED THIS LAW FIRM FOR $2,500 (NOT $5,000 AS ERRONEOUSLY INDICATED) FOR AN EDD APPEALS CASE BECAUSE THEY ADVERTISE THAT THEY HAVE HANDLED THOUSANDS OF APPEALS BEFORE THE UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE APPEALS BOARD. YOU GET PLENTY OF ATTENTION BEFORE YOU PAY THE RETAINER FEE. AFTER THAT YOU GET LITTLE ATTENTION AT ALL. THE ATTORNEY(S) ASSIGNED TO YOU REFUSES TO EVEN SPEAK TO YOU UNTIL THE DAY PRIOR TO YOUR HEARING. IN MY OPINION, YOU SHOULD ADOVID THIS LAW FIRM LIKE THE PLAGUE. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER LAW FIRMS THAT WILL HANDLE YOUR EDD APPEAL FOR FAR LESS THAN 2,500.

I am not going to say my experience was horrible...Because it was not. Do not try to take on the Calif EDD by yourself, the stakes are too high. Pershing Square Law Firm won my case and my dads case. Letty is the best!!!!! This was beyond what I was capable of handling. I knew I needed legal assistance. I truly don’t know what I would have done without Letty’s help. A++ Excellent Professional Handling of my EDD case, Charlie saved me over $70k in re-paying back the edd. I was in Keller Williams from 2016- 2020, edd sent a letter stating I was not qualified after 2 years of edd payment. Keller Williams submitted all paperwork to edd before my 1st payment. Edd still came after me to re-collect over $70k. I submitted over 600 pages to edd & the judge still didn't accept. In Gds mercy the Judge asked for 3 documents & I submitted less than 2 days & case closed!! Charlie & his team always answered my phone calls, emails every the time.
