Hired Shaun Brooks paid 3000$ and found out my husband was never even served. Every time I called was charged however he couldn’t bother to call or email me back. I will be going to the board. Heard from spouse who states he never even was contacted. DO NOT USE him for your legal needs unless you like to waste your time and money. Waisted a yr of my life. Could have done a better job on my own.

James Gwinup excellent attorney! Pleasant to work with, VERY intelligent, knows all the laws with family court, has a good rapport with other attorneys, is respected in El Dorado court. He was able to produce highly complex data in a short period of time. He doesn’t try to screw you over with unnecessary fees. I had a good communication with him what I could actually afford. He was highly recommended by E.E. a former law attorney. She only recommended two family law attorneys in El Dorado and he was one of them. You can’t go wrong with James Gwinup.

He is somewhere between sloppy and criminal. RUN!!! The worst out there.

I was in need of an attorney about a year ago and was appointed to Mr. Lander through Legal Shield. I was hit with a custody order for my dog(first time dealing with something like this) Daryl was easy to talk to, had cats and dogs in his office and guaranteed me he could handle it and that I had the upper hand in the case. I felt a little better about my situation after our first meeting. I pre paid Daryl $800 for a deposition that took place at his office on Zoom so he told me he would only charge me $500 for the depo. About a week and half after the depo, was the trial. Daryl was aware of the trial since day 1 but for some reason could not appear with me in court at any time. He could type up a quick form and charge me $300 for it in his office but that was as far as his services went. A week before the trial, Daryl told me he could not be in court with me as he had other plans. Not only did he take about $2,000 from me (for doing work in his own office) he bailed on me a week before I really needed him. I was thankfully able to find a attorney on short notice that was able to go to trail with me and I won. When I reached back out to Daryl about the remaining $300 from the depo, he told me that he talked to the other sides attorney on the phone on top of texting me, I was not getting the $300 back. In the long run, Daryl took my money for little to no work and made my situation more difficult by having to take out a loan and find a legitimate attorney in a weeks time for my trial. 10/10 do not recommend.

Daryl Lander has been my attorney for several years...he is the best attorney around!!! He is always available any time I have a question or a concern...and he knows his stuff!!! He doesn't mind explaining the process and what is in the best interest of his clients!! He has been practicing for 33 years...I will leave it at that! And his secretary Lidia is so kind and so helpful always!!

If you want to pay for a lawyer that will not touch your case at all then this is your guy! He told me he would help me with my ex who has a gun in my name then at the end told me that isn't family law and he couldn't help. He told me my ex would be paying me back for my court fees, then they never told me to do an income and expense so when I asked them if I needed one and did it for them the court wouldn't take it and said it was turned in to late so the court didn't order my ex to pay the court fees. He had me write out a list of things that were mine at my exs house since he locked me out with my things still in the house, this was pointless! Again not family law and he couldn't help. I had written out my own declaration he told me he would take the facts from mine but rewrite it in a way that the court would listen to, he didn't change one word of my declaration. 3500 dollars waisted!!

My experience with Mr. Lander was the worst. He promised so much, but in the end, lost my case. After dropping the kind of dough I gave, it made me realize I should have dropped him before we even began.

Daryl has been my attorney for over 7 years now. Daryl has helped me through two very life changing cases. He was and always is on top of his game. Attentive , straight forward and a bulldog in court when need be. He has by far gone above my expectations. Best attorney ever !!!
