I am compelled to write a review for Tom because he really took such good care of me from beginning to end of my case. From the start, he set expectations for every event that was going to happen. He brought me peace of mind through the whole process and made sure I had every advantage that was possible to get the best outcome. The DMV hearing dragged on for over a year, but Tom saw it through to the end and in fact had the charges set aside based upon the testimony of expert witness. He never gave up and never charged me any additional fees. Very professional lawyer with high integrity. Recommend very highly.

In 2022, I received my first DUI (or any trouble other than speeding tickets) in my life. As active duty military, this is a career killer. I reached to Mr. Nash and was quickly impressed with his knowledge, skill and ability, but more importantly, his patience with me. He guided me throughout the entire process for each court appearance, the contacts I needed to make and the steps I must take to regain my honor. I was able to successfully complete the military diversion program prior to my next PCS (Permanent Change of Station). It was a long and arduous process, but a worthwhile one, where I learned 'the hard way', but without it becoming detrimental to my future career. While each case is unique with different factors, I could NOT have completed the process (covering all DMV and Court requirements) without Mr. Nash's guidance. He was VERY patient with me as I navigated the process, and presented the best possible case for me at every step (court appearance or otherwise). But he also gave me the honest legal counsel (advice) I needed at each juncture. He was punctual and professional throughout, responsive to my emails and voice mails, even while handling other cases. He did so much 'behind the scenes', to speak the legal lingo so I could rest assured I had the best possible representation. Given the circumstances, he was ABSOLUTELY worth the cost to hire him as my personal lawyer. His credibility, knowledge and professionalism, were beyond reproach. Thank you Mr. Nash!

I was arrested and charged with DUI for a combination alcohol and drugs charge. After doing a computer search and reading reviews for Tom Nash and being determined to have excellent representation, I felt immediately that he was the right attorney for me. Tom was always responsive to my phone calls, questions and concerns. Even though I was sure that my alcohol intake was very moderate and that the prescription drugs I took were taken at the prescribed level, I felt scared and uncertain after being treated like a criminal by the police and seeing a “Drug Expert’s” report indicating that he was sure I was “under the influence”. Tom was always reassuring, attended numerous court appearances and was firm and tenacious in his approach. I hired Tom Nash to help me with the rogue police department in Carmel. These guys made a mission of pulling me over, stopping me when walking and pulling me out of establishments to harass me. Long story short as a civil servant with professional licenses at stake, Tom was able to get the courts to reverse all charges 3 in total and have everything dropped !!! It was a long drawn out fight of over 3 yrs but Tom never gave up defending me. To this day if I need clarification on something he is always available to lend a hand ! Thanks Mr Nash you save my life

I am ashamed to say that I was driving with an alcohol content in excess of .20. While driving under that condition I plowed into another vehicle from behind. I thought my life was over. I received a felony DUI with bodily injuries. I called Mr. Nash while he was having lunch with business associates, and he took the time to step away from his meal and give an initial phone consultation while his associates were dining. I then received a formal consultation at no charge in his Carmel office. He was forthright with the various possibilities, both good and bad. I will say that I can not be more thankful that I decided to retain Mr. Nash's services. He not only helped eliminate the felony charge, but he also was able to lower the misdemeanor charge of DUI with injury to an average DUI. Mr. Nash works up and beyond what is required of an attorney retained for the basic charge that all attorneys charge for DUI--I would have gladly paid him more. He counseled me on my interaction with the victim of the collision I caused, and the victim signed a release stating he was not seeking to press charges nor seeking monetary compensation. Mr. Nash is still counseling me on my interaction with the DMV concerning my license and has offered to, again, work with the DMV office to clarify some loose ends with regaining my unrestricted license. Mr. Nash works over and beyond what I expected, and I always feel welcome by him and his office assistant every time I pop in to either drop off or pick up documents. I feel I made a friend rather than hire an attorney.

I had a very basic DUI. He was a pessimist from the beginning. After the retainer was taken he showed little interest in making any effort at all. I ended up with 5 years probation and people continually ask me why. I had fix a flat chemicals in my trunk which likely affected my breath-lyzer. He did nothing. Well, he took my money and only attended my DMV hearing when I stated I expected him to. I can't think of anyone worse to recommend.

I have been wrestling with this review for six months. Why? Mostly because I am terrified that my expertise with the English language will not come close to Tom Nash's expertise in the legal world. I was surprised to see on this website that Mr. Nash is listed just in DUI and Criminal Defense. I was libeled and defamed by a powerful local public agency 20 years ago. I am a working person with limited funds. I asked Tom for help. His first words to me: "I like to taste bullies' blood." He took my case....followed through with several trials. We won them all, and the defamers appealed. Tom argued my case all the way to the California Supreme Court....and we won. The first successful defamation lawsuit in Monterey County in 50 years. There are a lot of lawyers working in Monterey County....only one living attorney can claim to have won a defamation lawsuit And....I almost hesitate to say: Tom charged me what he knew I could afford. This is not what lawyers do. None of this is what "normal" DUI lawyers do. I have a small business that is mostly dedicated to hiring, training and employing young people....most of whom are lost from families, society, and often the law. Tom has both a heart of gold, and an actual dedication to improving our society and the lives of the people around him. He has long term relationships with local attorneys, judges, police, sheriffs, CHP's....everyone involved in the legal system in Monterey County. They all respect him as a straight shooter...even though he often "wins". Tom is great in court, but he is even better before court. All of the above folks will take his word, as a straight shooter....to cut some slack here and there before a given case even gets to trial. And....beyond that: as a legal mentor for my kids and workers, his advice and gentle correction pushes them to a place where they no longer need him. Tom is on call 24-7. He answers his own phone....even at 3am. I was just now trying to tally up the number of friends, family members, workers and random young people I have referred to Tom and of whom Tom has made a major, positive change in their lives. I gave up after 25. If Heaven has a dictionary, when the angels look up "lawyer"...they won't find jokes. . They will find a photo of Thomas Vinson Nash.

I felt helpless when I got charged with a DUI, until a good friend strongly recommended to call Tom Nash. He listened to me and put things into perspective. When we went to trial, they dropped all alcohol-related charges against me. What a relief! I was truly impressed with his knowledge of the law, professional manner and his attentiveness.
