On April 24, 2024, I experienced a hit-and-run accident on the 91 Freeway during rush hour. It was a three-car chain reaction caused by a black truck that struck a Tesla, which then collided with my minivan. Having maintained a flawless driving record for 17 years, with no tickets or accidents, I was caught completely off guard by the situation. I wasn’t sure where to start—should I contact my insurance company, arrange for vehicle repairs, or see a doctor first? On top of that, I was dealing with a severe headache from the impact, which made it even harder to think clearly. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) arrived shortly after the accident and directed us to pull over safely.
