I found Holstrom Block & Parke online and scheduled a consultation with Kristen Holstrom who assigned me to Attorney Samantha McBride. Not having any previous experience with family court, I found it important to work with an attorney who was passionate, forward and a high-level thinker as my children are the most important to me. My journey took about 8 months and from start to end, Samantha was always communicative, informed, empathetic, diligent and so much more. When dealing with an ongoing case (especially out of state), it takes an emotional toll on you so it's important to have the right team behind you. Samantha was detailed and took note of our countless calls/emails, she came fully prepared each time to court hearings & made sure I too was prepared but always leveled my expectations. Anytime I had questions or concerns, I received responses quickly and was never left in the dark (even after hours). As the years have past and my child has grow to a young man. I have done everything in my powers as a mom to fight for his well being. Unfortunately, I couldn't say the same for his father. Instead his father has caused road blocks for our son's education, extra-circular activities and his future. Nobody wants to need an attorney and there is no more stressful time than an issues of divorce or child custody. As a single mother who suddenly became in broiled in a surprise child custody case I was anxious, scared and quite lost with what was happening. One single phone call with Samantha eased weeks of tension and placed me in a position where I knew that myself and my daughters were going to be taken care of. She and her entire staff including additional attorneys and paralegals make sure that your case has the attention it needs and that you are consistently informed of your choices with in the court legal system as well as what is happening with the progression of your case. I was always able to get somebody on the telephone. They took a very stressful time and relieve some of the burden while making sure that my daughters and I were protected but respecting the choices that I needed to make for my family. Well I hope to never have to do this sort of proceeding again I would 100% use both Samantha McBride and this firm again. When it comes to your children trust is a very important thing and I would 100% also trust this firm with what is in the best interest of my daughters and I felt that that is what we received from them during these proceedings.

I hate combing through reviews that don’t give you the why. I hope you’ll find this one different. So here’s why you should hire Samantha McBride. She’s a living filing cabinet full of updated knowledge on the present law, tax codes, and legal rights that the average person most likely has no clue about. Simply put, as an overwhelmed father attempting to gain fair representation in a child custody case I couldn’t have picked a better team to represent me than Sam and Kristen Holstrom’s team at HB&P. Sam “dumbed” down the legal “babble” to a level I could understand and at the same time never made me feel inferior. I always left our consultations and phone calls satifsfied and with my questions and concerns resolved. She talks to you patiently and respectfully in a nonjudgmental manner. She is very thourough and methodical making sure you understand every aspect of your case, California law, and variable options available to you. I was very lucky to have Sam working with me on my case. She is very knowledgeable and her expertise with child custody truly shows.
