Where do I begin? I contacted this attorney today for consultation. I have never wanted to write a review so badly in my life. This attorney does not actively listen and is rude. She asked me detailed questions about my situation and I answered in great detail. More than a few times, she repeated her question such as about dates and time frames of different events. After about the third time she did this, I said "I already told you the date/time" and I proceeded to repeat what I had told her just moments before. She very rudely said, "You need to adjust your tone when you're talking to me." The audacity. My tone literally never changed. I asked her how my tone was rude or inappropriate and she replied "because you said I told you." Well lady, I did tell you and I don't think she understands the definition of tone/tonality. I had to repeat myself many times and I expressed this to her. Not actively listening to a potential client is in itself rude and unprofessional. I would never speak to anyone the way she spoke to me. SlDuring our conversation she also would ask me a question and then interrupt me while I was mid sentence. I would not do business with someone who obviously has a low regard for people in general and lack people skills. From my experience, lawyers are usually the MOST pleasant during a consultation because, of course, they want you to become a client. Imagine a month from now how she would be treating me. I am going to go out on a limb and say that her "sparkling personality" (thats sarcasm) has not won her many clients because she answers her own phone and answered after just one ring. I am not sure where all of her good reviews on Yelp are stemming from. Ms Chea's reviews look fake.. After I briefly expressed my above frustration with how she was speaking to me, she said hold on and I heard elevator music on the line. I hung up and ran to Yelp (figuratively). The attorney called me back and of course I did not answer. She has zero people skills and I would definitely not do business with her, ever. Just call and talk to her or go in person for a consult. You will soon see she is rude off the bat and doesn't seem very knowledgeable to boot. Dealing with her attitude and overall lack of knowledge would not be worth the value of her inexpensive prices. She only offered one option for how I could keep one of my vehicles before knowing the value of my vehicle. FYI, in Ca you have 4 options and one of them began around 2023. When I asked about one of my other options that is the only time she offered that option and said I would be able to do that (after she asked a few details). Had I not known about the option she would not have offered it. What a lawyer smh.

David is knowledgeable. He was willing to answer and explain to me everything he knows about Conservatorship of my daughter. I’m glad I found him to help me. He is highly recommended!

I’m glad Michael was the first I reached out to when searching for a bankruptcy attorney around Sacramento. I’m a nervous and anxious person but he was able to work with me. He broke down the Chapter 7 process, explained and guide me through every step. He is very professional and followed up with everything we planned until the very end of my discharge. He is truly a blessing. -highly recommended!

Muoi had been an amazing attorney in working through what I thought would be a difficult process. She explained every step of the way in easy to understand terms. She was timely in communicating through each portion of the process. I also found her fee extremely competitive in a sea of options. If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of needing to file bankruptcy, you don’t need look any further.

I have had the exact same issues as Ted mentioned .this man took my money they didn’t show up to two of my court dates with a child custody case .hes impossible to contact and when he does answer its when he’s threatened with being fired and or to go to the state bar .hes messed up my case significantly and caused unessacerry suffering for me and my daughter due to his lack of doing his job that he is paid to do.he had his paralegal Jose call me at 11 am to tell me he was on his way to the court date that was at 10 am and was already completed cuz I hired another attorney as I expected him to not show up and he only called likely cuz the other lawyer(opposing consul) told him I had new consul .the first date he missed he was like yeah im gonna be on zoom what court room is it ? Like um what man ? You dont know what court room it is ?he had completly forgotten about it and never got on zoom if they even offered it .he then didn’t get my any visitation with my daughter which at that time I hadn’t seen in 3 months due to him not doing his job .i thought hiring a professional would streamline the process .in hind sight it would have been better to just do it myself as it would have gotten done .hes yet to the this day to refund me my money or to give me a bill showing what he’s done or follow up like promised on anything or even follow his own contract with me .hes a typical narcissist who will try to sweet talk or gas light depending on how the convo go and try to talk down to you to manipulate and control the conversation .stay clear of him.do no give him your money .i will be going to the state bar and hopefully this time his suspension is longer then one year like what occurred in 2021 -2022 where he took customers money and didn’t deposit it in th trust fund but for sure he’s done much more unethical things then that I am certain .he is a criminal .stay clear !!!

Steve is an absolute gentleman. I am in a very vulnerable position being falsely accused. Steve called me and told me what I was doing wrong and how his help was in my best interest. I highly recommend his services to others.

Absolute scam artist, you will need the BAR association and malpractice attorney to bail you out if you work with this clown. This man got me a 5 year restraining order against my own son because he FAILED TO APPEAR for my court date. Not only that this LIER had the audacity to pretend he went to the hearing! After that ordeal and promising to make things right, he FAILED TO APPEAR AGAIN for a second emergency rfo set forth by his own office! As if the damage wasn't enough the one court date he showed up for UNPREPARED and UNINFORMED about the most basic details on my case. After that court date he offered to "graciously" pay sanctions. Of course he FAILED TO PAY COURT ORDER SANCTIONS as well. I haven't even got into how he conducts buisness. He is impossible to contact, never shows up to his own scheduled appointments with his clients and fails to put in any work or effort into your case. If you hire Steve Whitworth expect to have your life turn into a catastrophe. I expect he will be banned from practicing law in California in the near future.

Terribly insulting and a waste of my time. Before even learning about the case I was asked about my history with drugs and told to spend more time with my son. I’ve never done drugs and I regularly time with my son, he just never asked. Then, he advised me to do things that I’ve already done, I told him the information was useless because I was already aware of what needed to be done. I ask assistance to help organize my files, and then was told my benefits with ARAG (who referred me to this firm) didn’t cover enough for him to take my case. Very unprofessional and unreliable.
