I found myself agreeing to be Administrator for Probate of my friends estate when she unexpectedly passed away and had no Will or Trust. Based on Christine Padillas great reviews, I made a appointment and immediately was impressed with her and retained her to be the Attorney. It was a perfect match because I knew nothing about the process of probate and Christine was very knowledgeable of all aspects that are involved. Christine made herself available to answer all questions and lead me through the long involved process. Christine really gives a personal touch and her kindness sets her apart from other Attorneys Ive encountered. Christine is so efficient and this made the process so smooth and I learned so much because she gave me the time and knowledge to make me understand everything. Im so impressed and truly trust Christine and we are now working on my Estate planning.

Working with Renkin Law Firm was a delight. My experience with everyone at the office was pleasant. I was in a terrible accident and just my luck the person who totaled my SUV was not the owner of the vehicle. So I was the one who had to pay the price, but attorney Renkin and his team was able to help me get something cash for my loss. Julie from the law firm assisted me with finding Chiropractor and with any and everyone question I had. Sharon the paralegal was always so helpful and informative. Although my case took over a year and I called many times, each time I called , left a message or emailed someone always contacted me back. Everyone made sure my concerns were answered. I am truly thankful for each and everyone who worked on my case, because of them I’m driving a better and newer car. I would recommend anyone to this firm. They are kind but over all they are professional and get the job done.

Christine Padilla was a godsend for our family. I got quickly thrust into will/trust/probate situations I had no idea how to handle. Christine was patient, thorough, kind and really, really good. A couple of years ago, I was rear-ended at a red light by someone looking at their cell phone. The Padilla Law Group came highly recommended in looking into law firms - and now I know why! They did an outstanding job, leading to a tremendous financial settlement. My lawyer Michael Padilla was fantastic, an excellent lawyer! His amazing staff kept me well informed, making me feel respected and valued throughout the process. I look forward to working with their law firm again should I ever need their services in the future. I recommend them without hesitation!

1. No Action with File – All Talk, No Action I hired Renkin and Ben Yip to represent me in a division of assets and custody case. They said they were going to work quickly and get an accountant. They had my trial brief for THREE months and did absolutely NOTHING. Even when I asked Renkin and Ben Yip to demand discovery on the opposing party, it took them two months to be my parrot. 2. Horrible Advice On May 27th, Ben Yip told me I needed to sign a stipulation saying we would go to trial about five weeks later. I told Ben Yip, we can’t go to trial when we don’t even have the other party’s final declarations. Ben had never even looked at my declarations and exhibits, nor did he hire an accountant like he said was so urgent. No good attorney would pressure a client into signing a stip that puts a client in a losing position. 3. Lack of Professionalism Ben Yip called me in the first week of May to tell me he was very upset with me and started to lecture me before he even heard my side of the story (where my son Ubered to my house). I told him that it was unprofessional of him to neglect inquiry before jumping to the conclusion that I did something wrong. He still charged me for this basic skills instruction. I didn’t realize I was in the business of paying attorneys to mentor them. 4. Can’t Follow a Simple Outline I provided Renkin and Ben Yip with a simple three-point outline for the ex parte. When he had the chance to speak to the judge, he failed to present half the content. I had to gain the judge’s attention to address the missing points. Renkin did absolutely no good, only harm. 5. No Flexibility I informed Ben that I did not have the funds to have him represent me at the ex parte. I had third-party proof that I did nothing wrong. Instead of accommodating my request, he insisted that he be on the case full scope and represent me at the ex parte. A few weeks later when he realized how playing telephone (me  Ben  Opposing Counsel Ben  me) was not benefitting the case and only depleting my retainer, he said he would only be on limited scope for one aspect of my case. I told him I needed him “as needed” and he still refused. Ben was basically there when I didn’t want/need him (play telephone and sit in as an incompetent lawyer on an ex parte) and he was not there when I needed him (get FDODs from the get-go, read my docs, develop a plan). 6. Increased Rates Without Notice – Failing to Follow the Fee Agreement This firm provided me no notice that Renkin and Ben Yip’s worthless services were increasing $75 per hour. Instead, I find it on my billing statement. 7. Providing an Incorrect Form -- Substitution of Attorney Ben gave me an SOA that states I’m subbing the firm in (not out) and included a wrong CA Bar number. The clerk had to look it up. Then, when I went to file a much-needed motion to re-open discovery (something Ben should have done from the beginning), I was unable since the recent filing showed I was represented by Renkin. My drive through traffic to/from the firm to have Ben sign my correct SOA cost me an extra three hours. Ben never apologized. He’s an arrogant incompetent, lazy “attorney” who harmed and further delayed my case.
