I highly recommend Jimmy as a criminal defense lawyer in the OC area. My goal was for my case was dismissal, and Jimmy successfully got my case dismissed. For my attorney search, I scoped out to 4 lawyers, and Jimmy was my confident choice for a few reasons. He is not only highly proficient in keeping up to date in the amending OC laws, but he’s also extremely knowledgeable and efficient in navigating through the OC court system. 1. Local knowledge of Anahiem court system - After I provided details of my case during my consultation call, he gave me a very detailed run down of the court that my arraignment was to take place (changes in judge rotations, arraignment room number, pre-trial room, etc…). He’s been practicing law in OC since 2004 and is ingrained in the local judicial community (active member in North County Bar Association). I felt assured that he had a good reputation with the Anahiem lawyer community (lawyers and judges). Jimmy also informed me that his office is a mile away from North Justice Center and that he represents all of his clients (no associate substitute). 2. Ease of communication - Because Jimmy works directly with all of his clients (no associates), I had direct access to him via phone, text, and email. He answered all my questions within the day. He would always give me a heads up when he would be unavailable (because he was at court) and followed up with a timeframe of answering back. 3. Proactivity - After my consultation call (before I made the decision to hire Jimmy and was scoping additional lawyers), he went out of his way to update me about a timely announcement from Jennifer Contini’s (Chief Deputy Anahiem City Attorney) that may positively impact my overall situation. I was honestly surprised that Jimmy took the time to call and update me even though I wasn’t officially his client. It made a deep impression. After I officially hired Jimmy, he was clear in my next action items to strengthen a dismissal outcome. In summary, I chose the right lawyer for me, I felt very well represented, and Jimmy delivered to get the outcome I wanted. I know how intimidating, hectic, and confusing it can be to hire a lawyer, so I hope this review helps others in their attorney search.

I made a mistake and ended up in a criminal matter. It was very shocking because I have a clean record. I also had little idea of what to do and how to navigate the process correctly. I wanted a local attorney who was familiar with the court-assigned and the judges that might be involved. I called attorney Jimmy Cha and he responded immediately. I was able to talk with him the same day. Jimmy made it clear he understood all the actions needed and that he would guide me through things step by step. He also was clear on setting expectations regarding the time needed for things to get through the system and outcomes. Jimmy was very responsive to any questions I had during the proceedings. It was my first time getting a DUI and I had no idea what to do. My brother in law generated a list of attorneys and we started calling for any help/advice/consultation Some of the attorneys I spoke to had a bland demeanor that tossed any sense of optimism, which is something anyone would need in that situation. Jimmy Cha was the was last person on the list to call and there was a vast difference to his tone of voice than the others. He 'listened' to my story and he responded with such comfort. He didn't say he would make it go away, but he said he would help me get through it from beginning to end. He even encouraged me to call other attorneys to compare and then decide. Jimmy was an awesome lawyer to work with, he was efficient and communicated well throughout the case. I truly cannot understate the fact that Jimmy getting me out of serving jail time was nothing short of absolute miracle. It still blows my mind till this day, but it was after months and months of his hard work and diligence and clear communication and direction that we were able to leave the courtroom victorious. I’ve had lawyers in the past that were sometimes hard to get a hold of or communicate with, but with Jimmy it was a completely different story. He was almost always available during his office hours, and the few times that he wasn’t available he always contacted me back immediately as soon as he had the chance. Whether it be phone calls, texts, or emails, he ALWAYS got back to me in a timely manner, and he never made me feel bad or stupid about asking a lot of questions or anything like that. I always felt like he truly had my back, and he would frequently tell me that if I had any questions to feel free to contact him. Even when I had feelings of anxiety and doubt and dealing with depression over my situation, he reassured me that he was fighting for me and that he was going to do everything within his power to prevent me from going to jail. In the end I trusted him and he 100% followed through with everything that he said to me. When it came time for court Jimmy was always on time and always looked professional. He always came prepared and briefed me on everything going on every time before court was in session. In short, having Jimmy on my side during this whole ordeal was truly a blessing. I could not have asked for a better lawyer. A lawyer who cares about people and believed my story from the very beginning.
