Louis Goodman is undoubtedly the best attorney you can possibly find. All the other attorneys I contacted on yelp immediately ask you to pay upfront first, while Louis offers a in-person consultation along with his legal advice all free of charge. He sorted out my case and personally called the DA’s office to make sure my charges were dropped. This is the best news I can hope for out of a terrible situation. He possesses thoughtfulness, patience, understanding, and a realistic approach. He does not make exaggerated promises, but he certainly exceeds expectations. 20 years ago Mr. Goodman defended me on a charge and he was an excellent ally and attorney Today I called him up about helping with some issues from that original case and he was as helpful and knowledgeable as he was then. Friendly, thoughtful, helpful, and answered all my concerns.

I wasn’t going to make a review but the secretary I spoke with was very rude and condescending. I explained to her that I wanted to get my gun rights restored and that both of my felony cases from over 10 years ago are considered “wobblers” so I should in theory be able to reduce those to misdemeanors and try to get my rights restored. She didn’t even let me finish my sentence before cutting me off by saying “Noooope!” In a rather stern tone and then telling me I’ll never get my gun rights restored in California if I have been convicted of a felony. Not with that attitude I won’t! I found a new lawyer who says he can help so I guess only time will tell if do end up getting my 2nd amendment rights back, no thanks to this receptionist I may add, next time leave the legal advice to the lawyers m’am!
