I hired Athina to help me with a divorce about a year and a half ago--no kids, barely any community property between us, but lots of separate properties. The ex seemed pretty amicable to settle everything, but there was no communication from him on how to separate finances and assets so I went ahead with a default. He didn't even respond when Athina's office drafted a settlement agreement as a diplomatic approach for the two of us to walk away happy. The process was a bit slow with the courts, even when I was calling the court directly to see why things took so long to finalize everything. In the end, the judgment took about 6 months to finish. Didn't expect to have so much paperwork in the end just to get one judge's signature! Didn't like the delay in how the courts worked since they're so understaffed, but the office did their best to work with me and assure me that as long as my paperwork was filed, someone in the court will get to it when they can. They also kept me up to date whenever they filed something, since it had to be done in person. Thanks for being patient with me, Athina!
