Charles is a fantastic lawyer. My company hired him to handle some of our employment and tax law issues, none of which any of us were equipped to handle, or even frankly understood. Charles was incredibly thorough, patient and explained everything to us in a relatable manner. Sorry, but there's nothing I hate more than lawyer jargon! Charles made sure we understood all risks, outcomes, etc but without using jargon that we would have to ask him "Wait, what the heck does that mean?" He also makes sure that he's providing the guidance that you need without all of the "upselling." We've been thrilled with his work and look forward to working with him again.

Charles was really helpful throughout the probate process for my family (did all the work, was on top of things, etc). I was told the probate process would take a long time because of the California court system, but it didn't take nearly as long as he'd warned me it might. He kept me informed throughout the entire process and always quickly responded to my questions via phone/email. Would definitely recommend him.

I hired Charles to do an estate plan for me. My husband and I own few rental properties and he recommended we transfer them into an LLC and prepared all the necessary documents. He also drafted a trust and made sure the LLC interest went into the trust so probate is avoided. All in all, he provided hassle-free service with a friendly personality. Since this was the first time I was referring a client to Charles, I sat in on the meeting because I wanted to observe how he interacted with my client and I also wanted to gauge his proficiency in estate planning. He also made sure she understood the significance of each component of the trust and will. He was extremely thorough and showed great care for my client. After the meeting, I knew I had found an excellent estate planning attorney I could include in my very exclusive roster I use for clients when they need estate planning help. One of my parents recently passed and I was introduced to Charles. I asked Charles to take a look at the affairs of my family’s estate. He was very thorough in presenting the different issues of our estate, tax implications, and the different avenues available to us. He explained everything very carefully and patiently during an emotionally difficult time. My family and I asked a lot of questions and he was able to explain and answer each of our questions to our satisfaction. He made himself available and promptly responded to emails and calls as he guided us through our estate plan --very pleased with him as both a person and an attorney.

My father and I hired Charles a few months ago to assist with my Mother's probate issues. Because she resided (and subsequently passed away) in another state, my father and I were unsure of what we were supposed to do. We initially approached an attorney in our home state, and he advised that we also collaborate with an attorney in California. A college friend of mine suggested that we contact Charles. Not only has he prepared all the necessary documents and advised my family about the different avenues which we could pursue, but he has done so with compassion. My parents were looking to establish an estate plan, and an acquaintance of mine introduced me to Charles. After speaking with him over the phone, I arranged for my parents to meet him. They couldn't have been more pleased. He took their time with them, answered all of their questions, and made the entire process as painless as possible. After the meeting, he sent them drafts of the estate planning documents (trust, wills, powers of attorney, etc...) within a week, and once my parents gave the "okay", they arranged another meeting to execute the documents. Charles really gave me the impression that he cared about my family and was genuinely concerned that the goals of my parents were met. He returned every phone call from my parents promptly and responded to my emails even quicker. He truly provided best in class service.
