Genevieve has been my attorney for around 3 years now. She was signed on to 3 different cases in 3 different departments. She has failed on all 3, majorly! It is near to impossible to have a conversation with her. She attends court dates on my behalf but doesn't tell me anything about them! I spent 3 years trying to get away from my abusive husband. She has proof that he violated the restraining order and has done nothing about it. She failed to ever provide me with a copy of the newest guardianship order to protect the kids that were in my care. I signed the divorce papers (although not accurately done) months ago and still have yet to be divorced. I asked for absolutely nothing in the divorce just to get it done faster, too!

Dereliction of duty is an understatement. I watched a loved one waste a year with this attorney and has 0 to show for it. Malpractice suit forthcoming .Good luck you're being reported to the bar. God help La Mesa. If she runs a city like her practice you guys are screwed!

Attorney Suzuki was phenomenal in assisting us through an extensive process! She had the utmost positive attitude and was very gracious in meeting our needs! She went above and beyond to find a solution to make things happen as this was a unique case. The law office personnel always showed professionalism and was very responsive when we had any question's or needs. She should definitely be the first to call if you ever need any help with family law matters! Thank you, Gen for everything you have done!

Genevieve is a true professional and handled my case firmly but fairly. She set realistic expectations and was always brutally honest with me, even if it wasn’t going in my favor. I hope I don’t need to, but I would 100% use Genevieve again!

Genevieve is a very compassionate lawyer. She fights tirelessly for her clients. Always taking calls past business hours. Taking calls phone calls on her cell while on vacation even though she gave all her clients a heads up that she was on vacation. I worked for her and she tirelessly worked for everyone one of her clients even while she cared for her sick mother. She even helped me personally with my own small claims case even though that’s not in her area of practice. She is a great lawyer and great person.

I would not recommend getting Genevieve as your lawyer. She accepted my case saying she can help me but for the past 3 months she has not responded to my calls and emails in regards to my case but she failed to continue my case to the judge because she did not file the paperworks on time. She will lie to you and tell you that everything is going well, but I had to find out myself that my motion and case was denied because of the horrible work ethic of Genevieve. She lied to my family and I saying that that reason she couldn't get a lot of work done because her mom was sick but now I do not believe that one second after finding out that she went to multiple court hearings without our knowledge and our motion being denied because of her horrible work ethics. Because of all of this and the actions that Genevieve has done, I've been put in an extra amount of stress because of this case trying to figure out what to do and to fix her mistakes and trying to find a reliable lawyer who will actually do their work correctly. I thought I could trust her as my lawyer because she is a member of the church that my family and I go to, but I guess not. We even treated her as part of our family, so I am so upset and disappointed that she has treated us this way. Do not be fooled by her kindness, whatever the other bad reviews has said by other clients is all true. Do not make the same mistake I did.

Gen has been my attorney for over 10 years now and is always willing to take the extra step to help my family and me. She is firm but fair and is always straight up with me, good or bad, about possible outcomes. She TRULY cares about her clients and always works hard for them.

Genevieve Suzuki is by far the most unprofessional lawyer I have ever met her reviews don't match to the representation she gives you she leads you down a path where you believe she's helping you but then she becomes best friends with the judge and miners council she doesn't defend you when you give her documentation to file into court she doesn't file your papers she only shares the information with the minors council so they interpret what they want to say and the judge doesn't see the actual proof again by far the most unprofessional lawyer I have ever met I got robbed I've given her tons of information to file into court and she hasn't done any of it and she has not defended me she is only backed with the minors council has said she will allow the courts to violate your civil rights when it comes to the fundamentals of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness in families 14th amendment I got no due process in the courts she has a loud minors council sit there and tell me if I don't sign papers that I will not be able to see my kids she is not a great family lawyer whatsoever

I wanted my divorce to be fair, and not combative. I wanted a lawyer who would follow my lead in tone and style. I know, if needed, Genevieve would have been as assertive and tenacious as I needed her to be, but she was just the right blend of understanding and steadfast professionalism that I required. She answered so many of my questions. She did an excellent job in preparing my paperwork. A court case involves numerous steps and extensive paperwork. Temporary bottlenecks will occur, exacerbating an already emotional journey. However, Genevieve skillfully navigated these obstacles, providing invaluable emotional support throughout the process. I'm very happy with her services and highly recommend.

Genevieve Suzuki is an outstanding attorney. She handled my child custody and divorce case with professionalism and empathy. She worked effectively with opposing counsel. She responded timely and thoroughly to all issues. We were able to come to an agreement that was acceptable to both sides. Thank you Genevieve for all you hard work on my case!

Genevieve has a great sales pitch but does not do the work. She is a mile wide with friendly smiles and promises but is only an inch deep in work ethic and follow through. She completely dropped the ball with her handling of my futures wife’s divorce. My wife lost custody of daughter for a year due to how inept she handled the case. After all was said and done my wife never received her share of the retirement. Suzuki also never returned the divorce file. We will be forced to make a complaint to the state bar and probably have to sue her for the client file. Be warned stay away from this woman. All talk no substance!!!!
