Kyle is the best lawyer I've ever worked with. I was hit while riding my bike and the insurance policy limit of the person who hit me was too low for most of the law firms in the area to take my case. But then Kyle reached out to me very quickly after I submitted my request on his website and told me he wanted to help, and that he went independent so he could take clients on his own terms. Could not recommend Kyle at Paceline Law more. After a cycling crash in May 2023 I was referred to Kyle and it was one of the sliver linings of my accident. Kyle was personable, communicative and efficient. Having a lawyer like Kyle who is trustworthy and has your best interest at heart really makes accidents like this so much more manageable. I was in a bike accident (doored by a car) and contacted Kyle who was incredibly quick, responsive, and helpful in his response. He let me know I was not at fault, what laws the car broke, and what my next steps were. I suffered whiplash and minor injuries, and he helped me draft a letter to the driver, who was a sneaky lawyer trying to blame me for the accident. Kyle was on my side the whole time, providing pro bono legal assistance and moral support in helping me get a small settlement from the driver to cover my chiropractor sessions. I found Kyle Smith while searching for an attorney specializing in bicycle law after I was hit by a car while cycling earlier this year. The insurance company of the person who hit me sent me a letter requesting money to pay for the damage done to the person's windshield... you know, on the car that sent me to the emergency room in an ambulance. I hired Kyle and all I requested was that he get the insurance company to cease correspondence with me. Fast forward a few months, and not only did I not receive anymore letters from the insurance company asking me for money, but Kyle let me know that he negotiated on my behalf and that I was receiving a relatively substantial settlement, as well. So after a pretty rough year, Kyle and his hard work made it so that this year ended on a much, much better note than I had originally expected. I can't recommend Kyle and Paceline Law enough... he's an extremely friendly guy who is great at explaining what he's doing, when he's doing it, and why he's doing it. There were no surprises or lulls in communication, and I knew what was going on with the process at all times. He's a great guy and I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to have him represent me during an extremely stressful and rough time this year.

Kyle is a wonderful bike injury lawyer. I had a bike collision and he helped me immensely. He talked me through the entire process at the beginning and helped me feel better about the accident. I highly recommend Kyle at Paceline Law to any Bay Area cyclist that has been injured by a driver, or in my case doored by a rideshare passenger. He was incredibly helpful and communicative, and made the daunting process incredibly easy. I had piles of medical documents, bike repair receipts, and lots of questions about how to account for other costs. He handled everything smoothly and efficiently. My only regret is not coming to him sooner - I probably would have stayed more organized through the process with his advice and support. Regardless, he helped me reach a quick and respectable settlement by negotiating with both the car insurance company and my health insurance company on my behalf. He was thoughtful, professional, and while I obviously hope not to need his services in the future, I’ll call him without hesitation if I do.
