If Covid-19 has done anything positive, it has provided me with time to do the things I'd been putting off, like creating a living trust. And, as a result, I had the distinct pleasure to meet and work with Attorney, Deanny Lungu. At our initial meeting, Deanny was thorough, honest, personable and sincere. She continued in this fashion throughout the entire process. I cannot stress enough how on top of things she is! Deanny made every step of the process understandable and with her guidance and expertise this daunting task was manageable. We really enjoyed our experience working with Deanny. Setting up our trust was something that we put off for many years. After our first meeting with her, we were really educated about the necessity of a trust and the steps we needed to take. She was a great teacher and we learned of many things that we were not aware of regarding the California laws. Deanny was extremely organized and followed us through the whole process with emails and phone calls. I think we would have procrastinated if it were not for her reminders. Lastly, Deanny is very kind and has a great sense of humor. I’m sure we will contact her for other needs in the future.

I was was not looking forward to setting up a Trust. But I knew I didn’t want my family to have to go through probate or pay a huge amount of taxes. I wanted to give them peace of mind by letting them know exactly what I wanted. The task seemed overwhelming, where to start? I had spoken to three other attorneys and didn’t pull the trigger until I met Deanny. I really didn’t understand the full scope of what was involved so when she explained everything at our initial meeting I felt much better. It was a ton of information and a bit overwhelming. Deanny patiently answered all my questions while leading me through the entire process. She kept me on task with gentle reminders. She followed through on every question I had. She really made the process so easy. At our last meeting she handed me a folder with all the estate planning paperwork, now everything is in one place, so thorough. I feel like she really cares about her clients and would definitely recommend her.

I learned about legal planning for my young adult children through a presentation Ms. Lungu gave at my daughter’s high school. As I got ready to send my daughter to college, I contacted Ms. Lungu to prepare Power of Attorney, California Advanced Directive, and HIPAA Waiver documents for use in case of an emergency once she is away at college and 18 years old. Ms. Lungu was professional and informative, and even took the time to meet with my daughter to explain the reasons for the legal documents and to dispel any concerns my daughter had about their use. Since my daughter was going to college out of state, Ms. Lungu arranged for a meeting with an Oregon state attorney to draft similar documents. I plan to use Ms. Lungu’s legal services again once my son is ready to leave the nest!

We were referred to Deanny through our real estate agent and are so happy to have worked with her. My husband and I wanted to make sure our son would be cared for in the way we wanted, just in case something happened to both us. Deanny made this process very easy for us by doing zoom meetings (since this is during a pandemic), giving us reasonable time to get the information she needed and coming to us to finalize our plan (in the safety our backyard). From the moment we met via zoom, I knew she was the right person to handle something so important to us, our son's future if we're not around. I would recommend this for anyone who has someone they love in their life and they want to make sure they're given what they deserve and to prevent any potential stress for them on your behalf. Thank you Deanny for helping us put together our plan, we are truly grateful for you and to know that our son & loved one(s) are taken care of if the worst were to happen.
