Lastly, they were extremely patient, especially when my wife and consistently created delays and were slow to provide documentation or respond to emails. Highly recommend!

After reviewing several law groups, my wife and I selected Kaiser Law Group to do a comprehensive update of our old estate plan. We selected his Legacy Client program as the one that best served our needs. Curtis and his team guided us through the process in detail and were patient in answering our questions. Their thoroughness became clear later, during the pandemic shutdown, when my wife suddenly passed away. The KLG team worked with me to make the required changes in account registrations and identification of tax attorneys to ensure proper income and estate tax issues were addressed. Last year (2022), KLG again addressed issues with my outdated estate plan by guiding me thru another comprehensive update of trust, will and health care documents to reflect my new status as a widowed single person.

We had used a lawyer that was recommended to us to draft our Wills and Trusts several years ago. Upon completion, we put our wills in our safety deposit box and our Trusts remained on our bookshelf for over ten years. When our son became a lawyer and became a certified specialist in estate planning with the State of California, we did not see the need to switch to him as our attorney as we thought we had already created our Trust and did not feel as if we wanted him to know our plans. Then when he formed his “Legacy Program” and we read about all the benefits of The Legacy Program including getting his clients’ families all on the same page, we decided maybe it was time to just ask him to take a look at the Trust we had created over ten years ago and give us his professional opinion. We gave Curtis our Trust and after a week he had one of his staff call us and set up an appointment for us to meet in person in his Office to discuss his analysis of our Trust. In our first meeting, he said that while our Trust was created well several years ago, that numerous laws had been passed making our Trust almost obsolete. He also discovered that not all our assets we possessed were placed in our Trust correctly. He then explained what he would recommend changing and advised us about his Legacy Program. We were very impressed with his professionalism in working with us to create a new updated Trust and the merits of his Legacy Program (that included: Following up to make sure all our assets were titled into our Trust; written and video communication of new Trust laws and how they would impact our Trust; annual reviews so that he could be aware of any new circumstances; and arranging a meeting with my other son and us to that we were all on the same page). We have certainly learned a great deal and feel so much more confident in our Trust decisions since we joined (yes, we are paying clients) the Kaiser Law Group and its Legacy Program and have Curtis and his team professionally guiding us.

Curtis and his associates made revisions of our trust and estate plan complete, easy, and secure. We are confident in his thorough and thoughtful methods. We appreciate his legacy model and feel comfortable asking any questions and getting help at any time for our trust/estate needs. His knowledge is broad, deep and up to date. Having researched his background, I expected that going in. What is truly noteworthy about Curtis is his ability to listen deeply, perceive underlying feelings of unease and gently invite further information so that he can formulate and offer targeted legal solutions to best plan for and resolve the uncomfortable or difficult issues that so many families face. Staff members Lorie Salcedo and Shawn Mirghanbari are professional but also warm, highly competent, always on top of the process and what is needed next. They are always available and invite your questions. I have worked with other estate planning attorneys in the past and found them competent, but unremarkable. Not so with the Kaiser Law Group!
