Megan Moghtaderi provided exceptional service during a difficult time and her knowledge and professionalism were evident from start to finish. Megan was always available when needed and her kindness was a bonus. I felt confident knowing Megan and her team were working diligently on my Trustee/Estate matter. I want to recognize the excellent experience we had with Megan Moghtaderi and her team. We had a situation where we needed a loan to the family trust in order to avoid triggering higher property taxes under Proposition 19, and we needed assistance with finalizing the distribution of the trust assets. We had been working with a previous attorney who was unable to complete the job, and time was of the essence. Megan and her team obtained and reviewed the files from the previous attorney, worked with the loan company on a rush basis to calculate the distribution schedule and loan amount, facilitated the property transfer, filed the documentation with the assessor, and provided the documentation needed for taxes and beneficiary distribution. Megan was clearly experienced and professional in handling this type of work, and was very patient and responsive to numerous emails and phone calls throughout the process. She was instrumental in finalizing the trust situation for us. I will not hesitate to work with Megan in the future and highly recommend her for any trust needs.

When my father passed away in early 2018 and left most of his estate to my disabled brother, the trustee he selected turned out not to have the best interests of my brother at heart. After a few months, I had to engage an attorney in Contra Costa Country to retrieve assets that the trustee had illegally obtained. But in order to remove the trustee altogether, I reached out to Megan for two reasons: She came highly recommended by some of my Contra Costa attorneys, and she was located in Orange County where the trustee lived. I learned that this was the proper venue in which to legally request the removal of a trustee. When I spoke with Megan by phone during our initial consultation, I explained that my ultimate goal was to have the current trustee removed and replaced by my father's successor trustee. She was attentive and professional. By the end of the 30 minutes, I felt I was in good hands and decided to retain her services. Megan worked very well with my Contra Costa attorneys. And in fact, from my perspective as the client, it was almost seamless. One memorable episode occurred when the trustee was mounting a challenge against my initial legal action in Contra Costa. At that point, the trustee did not know about the brief Megan had filed seeking her removal as trustee. But I felt strongly that if the trustee did know about the second legal action, it might provide leverage to help move both efforts forward. Megan agreed and this is indeed what happened. The trustee indicated her willingness to resign so Megan worked with the Contra Costa attorneys to craft a comprehensive settlement for both cases. The court approved the settlement and both matters were concluded satisfactorily. To conclude, although Megan was not the only attorney I worked with on this matter, she provided excellent service, and was responsive and efficient. I recommend her highly for any type of estate and trust litigation.
