Attorney Matt Kaestner just beat my murder case in Long Beach. I was definitely in the wrong place at the wrong time. Thanks to attorney Kaestner I’m back home with my family. At first my family hired another lawyer who was either unable or unwilling to spend the time to prove my innocence. Luckily Attorney Kaestner became my lawyer and did the work to show I was innocent and get me out of Jail. Along the way he regularly visited me at Wayside jail, kept me and my family informed of his progress on the case, and got my input. I will forever be grateful for his hard work and expertise. I’d like to give my thanks and deepest gratitude to the best criminal defense specialist, Mr. Matthew Kaestner. My husband was facing 15 years for a robbery he didn’t commit. The first attorney I hired had the case for 3 months, and wanted my husband to take a 7 year “deal.” I wanted a second opinion and found attorney Matthew Kaestner. This review for Matthew Kaestner is about a case I had 43 years ago when I was 18 years old. The case of course has been settled and put away in the hall of records archives of decades. The outcome of that case I wanted to change and contacted many other attorneys to see what could be done. A couple told me it couldn’t be done and tried to sell me some other service they offered. All of the attorneys wanted to communicate threw e-mail which I didn’t like doing, including e-mailing them the papers I had acquired from the hall of records in downtown L.A. about my old case. I contacted Mr. Kaestner by phone and we talked for about 35 minutes and made an appointment to meet him. One of the things about Mr. Kaestner is HE answers his own calls. Not a secretary. When I have called and he was unavailable, maybe in court, he calls back very quickly. So on the day of my appointment I arrive at his office. Very swanky office in the World Trade Center in Long Beach. I thought how the heck can I afford this guy! So here comes this guy wearing Levis, pretty down to earth. We meet for about 45 minutes and he takes my case, which is pretty small potatoes case compared to what he handles regularly. Another thing I come to find out about him is he handles everything himself. Does his own legal research, not some paralegal and doesn’t hand your case off to a junior attorney. My day in court comes and Mr. Kaestner arrives on time wearing a suit that cost more then my car. Very professorial in appearance. We go into the court room and it seems every other attorney knows him. Before the judge came in, they were sitting around making jokes and seem he is well respected. Turns out Mr. Kaestner used to be a prosecuting attorney at one time. Mr. Kaestner was able to get the results I was seeking. Even on a case 43 years old. Would recommend him to anyone needing a criminal attorney.
