I had a tenant renting my rental property who after 3 years of good rental history, my renter started to be late on his rent. After making exceptions to late charges through the property management company I contracted to handle my rental, the renter suddenly stopped paying rent and attempted to sue me for outrageous claims, ie., landscaping, deferred maintenance, pest infestations, etc. My house was a new construction and maintenance and landscaping was taken care of by me. I was outraged and sought assistance from Law Unboxed after 6 months of unpaid rent and my cash flow starting to cause risk in my own investment strategy, Law Unboxed successfully helped me counter sue for deposit, 6 months of rent, got the squatting renter out of my house and covered my legal fees allowing me to get the house cleaned up and on the market to sell.
