When searching for a lawyer, many of us read the online reviews. They state that John or Frank is a great lawyer. It is hard to make one’s mind, but I want to reach out to you and tell you my story. I did not find Brain through the online reviews, or even through a consultation. I met Brain through my brother. My brother was involved in a moderate motorcycle accident and chose Brain to represent his interest. He used to tell me how great Brain was. He told me Brain was getting this done or that done and how Brain advocated the best medical care for him. I never thought in million years that I would be in a serious accident myself. Just two years later, I was nearly killed and spent twelve days in an ICU, and another 47 days in a hospital bed. At that time, as one can expect, a lawyer was not exactly in my mind but I remember my brother on the side of the bed telling me that Brain was going to take care of me; he was going to advocate my rights. My brother’s trust in Brain never wavered, and now, I understand completely why. Many of us are aware of the negative image of a lawyer in our popular culture. My only regret in the whole process was that I waited a couple months after my accident before I called Mr. Breiter. Calling him earlier would have made the whole process so much easier. I was involved in a hit-and-run accident in March of 2012 while riding my bike. The car hit me while I was riding my bike across a crosswalk with a walk sign on. He never pressured me but he also never let me feel that I was alone in this fight. He made himself available to answer my questions and work through my fears. He is very funny and he knew the exact right moment to get me to laugh so that I could diffuse some of my fear and stress. Last week my case went to trial at long last. This is first time that I have ever been in a courtroom, much less as the plaintiff. Walking into that courtroom, I felt like a stranger in a strange land. Brian and his partner Max Draitser saw to it that I was well prepared for what was about to happen but I was still very nervous. Nerves aside, I knew that Brian and Max were excellent at what they do and they would do everything they could to help me win. Brian and Max's courtroom styles complement each other perfectly. Brian has the confidence and charisma that gives you feeling that everything will work out fine and Max has a calm and assured energy that lets you know that he is aware of everything that is happening has your back no matter what. My case was not an easy one but Brian and Max were well prepared and fought for me with every ounce of their being. I was continually amazed at how they anticipated what was needed at each critical moment. I am not exaggerating when I say that Brian's closing remarks were so powerful that they brought me to tears. I am happy to say that we won and justice was finally served. I was able to get damages and I am grateful. I think equally important to me was the fact that a jury found the driver responsible for causing all this heartache and pain and I was so relieved when they did. Brian Breiter was my legal counsel and he did an excellent job. He explained EVERYTHING to me, he helped me with patience and he got me a settlement that I am happy with. I have never retained counsel before and was never involved in any type of litigation. When I first talked to him I was unable to walk and had just had surgery. It's not a time in my life that I like to look back at. I was on my way to work on my motorcycle, next thing I knew a car had hit me and I was on the ground. I felt weak, helpless, and scared. I remember being rushed to the emergency room placed under an x ray and then taken to another room, where I would learn the injuries I sustained. I was referred to Brian by a friend of the family. And after researching I decided Brian's office would be worth the call. Soon after that Brian invited me to his office to discuss what happened the day of the accident. A few months passed by and I let him know that I was feeling great discomfort in my knee and he immediately got me an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon who was able to fix my knee. He also treated my case with the help of the office of Nick Movaghar and Steve Yamin. Steve, equally amazing, attended every meeting with fully prepared notes, documents and information. Steve also accompanied me during the deposition and helped me feel at ease. He stated all the facts of my case with quick and superb detail; giving the air of a truly confident professional. Brian was fierce during the meetings. I remember we went to two mediations and had to leave both times because he was not pleased with the offers they made. I could only imagine how hard he fought for me when I wasn’t there. Then one day I got a call from him with great news that it had finally been resolved. The fact that Brian’s office is in Downtown L.A., the accident happened in the western part Riverside County, I live in the central part of Riverside County, and the defendant was in New York did not deter Brian from going all the way to New York and getting the deposition where he got the defendant to admit his fault in the incident. I only mention that to give you an idea of how dedicated to my case Brian was. I don’t think there is any reality in which anyone could have handled my case as diligently as Brian and Steve did. At the end of it I was able to have all my medical bills paid off and reimbursed, as well as damages and expenses to my property. I was also able to keep a sizable portion to myself. I’m still not happy about the day of the accident and I wish it didn’t happen. I don’t think anyone would. But I’m glad I’m alive and well today. Brian took amazing care of me after I got broken up in a motorcycle accident! I was hit by a car on my bike almost two years ago, and hurt my ankle. I needed help, and with a little research I stumbled upon Brian. Brian was a true blessing after my auto accident. He is an honest individual who cares about all his clients and works hard for them. I was not ready to do research on attorneys after the accident. Therefore, I ended asking a friend for a referral because I knew he had been in an accident in the past. This turned out to be a terrible mistake and he is lucky that we are still friends. I ended up signing up with this other attorney without checking his background and ratings online. I later found out through my interactions with him and his staff that they were not interested in my well being. They told me to keep track of all my expenses and document everything. I tried to call several times, but was told that they were unavailable or just about to head out the door. They never returned my phone calls or emails. I came to realize that my first attorney had a poor rating online and others had similar experiences. I wanted to change attorneys after my displeasure but found out that many other attorneys would not take my case because they did not want to deal with the work involved with terminating the agreement with my first attorney and splitting a portion of the fee with my previous attorney.
