My husband has been incarcerated for 16 years. Doing time with an incorrect sentence. Throughout all the denials he received from the multiple submissions of a habeous corpus writ by the courts, he finally was notified that one of his hearings (Franklin hearing) was approved to be heard by the courts. This is when everything in our lives changed! We retained Ms. Lauren Noriega to represent my husband for his Franklin hearing in Sept 2020. With her direction and recommendation we also retained her to represent him on a resentencing hearing that Ms Noriega filled for us. Through her hard work and dedication, she was able to get my husband’s resentencing hearing referred to the DA’s office for review. Not only was my husband’s case at the DA’s office, it was in the hands of a person at the highest chain of command. Here we are in July 2021; not even a year later and Lauren has gotten the supervising DA to review my husband’s case. Because of all the strides she’s made on behalf of my husband and diligent work she performed we were granted resentencing. Five years and eight months to be exact. My husband is coming home! Sooner than later!! Ms. Noriega is definitely the defense attorney you would want to help you with any criminal case. She’s very professional, honest, open and upfront. I’ll start with the part everyone wants to know first. Noriega got my original charges of assault with a deadly weapon- firearm, felony offense, mandatory 6 months if not more jail time and a strike on my record. Dropped down to a misdemeanor- assault with a weapon, informal probation, 100 hours community service, no jail time, and after the probation is over she will have it expunged. The best part is one of the detectives did not read Miranda rights, she used that to our advantage and also filed a complaint on the detective! She truly went above and beyond, then again that’s probably why your here looking up her reviews. She’s one of the best! The incident occurred when a construction worker and I got into a confrontation in front of my house one morning, he made threats and had a large hammer and wasn’t leaving, I went inside my house and returned with my firearm. Certain claims were made by the other guy and in the end I was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon- fire arm. I was a complete nerve wreck anytime I had to talk about my case. What I thought was self defense ended up almost ruining my life and my families. If I had not done all that I could and gone with Lauren it could have cost my family and I everything. She always made sure to reassure me that everything was going to be ok, that she was going to handle it. And I mean al the time, not once did she get upset or ignore me or seem annoyed, if anything she always would say how I can ask her anything and as much as I need, that all cases are equally important to her and I truly felt that. Being in the court room with her on my side almost made me feel like I had armor from this corrupt system. I had a shield they could not break. Stop hesitating and call her ASAP if you even think for even one nano second you might need her, you do!! This system will tear you apart if you don’t know what they are saying in court. From day one she said she was going to take care of me and she did. And still is. Even while on probation she made it clear she’s still my attorney and still here to help or answer any questions. I truly owe my life to her. She’s a real and true attorney who takes pride in what she does. She’s not a get your money and run kind of lawyer. I just can’t say enough. Back in January I had an altercation with someone at a gas station it got physical and I had to defend myself. This lady had a small video clip and my license plate. Attorney Noriega got my record expunged and my gun rights back! She is that good! I have been living my life with a felony on my record for something stupid I did at 21 years old, I'm 44 now. Lauren knows what she is doing. I was facing two years and probation. I came to Lauren as she came highly recommended.
