Steve was a top notch dude in high school. He kicked ass on the jv 1 lax team. Furthermore as defense attorney in a disciplinary case, he rocked.

Steve Brody has represented me and both state and federal charges. I chose Steve Brody because he is highly educated from a prestigious Law School. Steve helped me understand my charges and he fought hard for me and took all my phone calls and treated me and my family with respect. In my case I received the best outcome possible with having Steve represent me. If you're looking for Superior attorney I recommend seeing Steve Brody.

I consulted with Steve in my civil case and he appeared for me as a witness, but then used his capacity as a lawyer to insert himself into the mediation process even though he has no experience in civil law. In fact, I didn't even want to mediate because the other party had no proof for the damages they were seeking. Steve convinced me to give away my safety and my home by recommending that I agree to 1) drop the restraining order I had against the other party and 2) agree to move out of my home by a certain date. I was teary and upset, not understanding why I had to give up these things when I did nothing wrong, but he kept telling me it was the right thing to do. This bully didn't deserve to prevail, but Steve told me to "f--- my principles." I was under major emotional duress and pressure that day by being in the presence of the person harassing me, so I listened to his bad legal advice. The reality is, Steve was looking out for himself. He was intimidated by this horrible plaintiff and didn't want to testify. He told me he was afraid she would know his name, etc, and would eventually go after him. He didn't even want to stand near me that day because he was afraid she would see that he was associated with me. Do you want such a sissy pushover to represent you? Prior to the court date, all my other friends, family, and civil attorneys whom I consulted had my back and said my neighbor had no case. Steve was the only one who didn't believe in me or support me the entire time. Unfortunately, the one person who didn't support me was the one who happened to be there with me on the court date when I was frozen and stressed. When they heard about the outcome of the hearing, all my friends and family told me that he really screwed me over rather than helped me in any way, because the situation was actually in my favor before he convinced me to give away everything unnecessarily. When I confronted him about his bad legal advice, Steve then joked that I was the cliche client who blames their attorney about accepting a deal rather than going to jail. He said it was a running joke among attorneys like him. I have this in text, so I am not exaggerating about his insensitivity and lack of accountability. Steve is inexperienced and definitely does not have any common sense, street smarts, or backbone. I posted this same review of him on Google reviews. He manipulated his business name and address as soon as the review was posted. He deleted his business's Facebook page as soon as I wrote a review on it. Super shady guy. I recommend that you hire a lawyer with more experience, more common sense, and some actual street smarts. This guy isn't it.

Steve did a great Job for my family and I. We had a family member that was being charged with 3 felonies and was facing 10+ years in Jail. Steve was able to work out a plea bargain in which the family member would only be charged with one felony in which if he obeyed his parol than it would be reduced to a misdemeanor in year. The family member did not serve a single day in prison although he could have been sitting in there for a long time. I highly recommend Steve for all your criminal cases.

Steven was extremely responsive and there for me every step of the way. Felony charge reduced to a misdemeanor in 18 months thanks to him. Extremely grateful.

Steve was instrumental in taking care of a few geniuses out of the Culver City Police Department who were holding my property hostage. In the end, all of my belongings were returned, no charges were filed, and now I have an airtight Civil Rights Lawsuit against the department. He was persistent in answering and returning my calls, which is less than can be said for a lot of mainstream attorneys. All in all, a pleasant interaction, would definitely use again.

Steve became my lawyer when he was working at the federal defenders office in San Diego 1yr ago. Steve was amazing in the sense that he, very thoroughly and in detail, explained to me what was happening with my case. I found it to be very calming for him to keep me in the light about everything. He was great with putting my family at ease, and for me that was very important. He was easy to get a hold of and responded quickly to all of my questions. Steve is a great lawyer to have on your side.

Mr Brody was a Federal Defender when I had the opportunity to work with him regarding my son and a probation revocation hearing. The Probation Department wanted my son's probation revoked and serve two years for something found in the home where he was living and had no control over. Mr Brody really WORKED the case and proved them wrong. My son was given four months revocation thanks to Mr Brody's handling of this case. I would hire him in a minute.

I was very lucky to have found Mr. Brody to represent me. Although he specializes in criminal law, he took my case (defamation/libel) when it was apparent that I wasn't going to be able to find anyone suitable to help me. My case was unique and complicated, however not unusual. I wrote a review on Yelp based on my personal experience I had with a business in San Jose, CA where they categorize themselves in "laser hair removal." They claimed the review was defamatory and libel and that I was purposefully trying to harm their professional reputation and their business. They took me to Small Claims and it was appealed in Superior Court and that's where the lawyers came in. From our first meeting, Mr. Brody carefully listened to my case and made me feel secured and confident that we had an excellent chance and optimistic of the outcome. Having the support of a smart, savvy, and ethical lawyer during a difficult time relieved so much stress. Thanks to Mr. Brody, he was my shield and amour from the opposing counsel and the business. I didn’t have to deal with their constant sense of harassment where they were using legal terms & tactics to scare me to remove my review. I was confident in Mr. Brody as a Lawyer and I didn't worry about the case, which allowed me to have a bit of normalcy in my life. He was very communicative and responsive to any questions/concerns I had. It was a long and drawn out case in court and surprised that I had to take the stand for a Small Claims Appeals case. I, for one was happy when it was over. It was a very "valuable" and costly experience. We had to wait for the judgment in the mail and I'm happy to report that all of Mr. Brody’s hard work paid off and I didn't have to pay them a single penny!

Steve is very helpful and has provided me with excellent legal advice on several issues. While most lawyers try to charge clients tons of hours, I was grateful that Steve kept the number of billable hours to a minimum. I highly recommend him based on his work ethics and I will definitely consult him in the future.
