I was referred to Saul Gelbart of Stegmeier and Gelbart LLC by a respected family law firm in the South Bay. After a brief meeting with Saul Gelbart, I was assigned a junior attorney at the same firm, Joan Loos. I work with attorneys all the time in my regular job. I am used to getting very good service from these attorneys, both in-house counsel and outside counsel. This is also my first experience with divorce law. I had so many problems with Joan Loos, they are too numerous to list here. Just avoid her. Since she is a junior attorney and not the one that convinced me to use her, I place the responsibility of my dissatisfaction with the partner that signed me up. The bottom line here is that I paid over $10,000 for my divorce which was uncontested, had no hearings, meetings or formal discovery and I made a huge mistake choosing Stegmeir and Gelbart, especially agreeing to be represented by Joan Loos.
