Sally is our angel on Earth! The short story is that we are New Jersey relos who are now here for good due to health reasons. My son, Buddy, has cerebral palsy, uses a power wheelchair and is nearly 100% physically-disabled. Let's face it: you can't beat the weather here! My daughter, Chaz, was already here with my mom. We are a small very close family. My kids are my best friends and are very close with one another. Sally skillfully navigated a complex investment green card case involving a multi-party family. She carefully and expeditiously shepherded every step of the way and successfully secured green cards for the entire family. This attorney claims to be an expert in OFAC and IRS regulation yet she advised me, a United States citizen, to open a bank account in a US sanctioned country, in direct violation of 31 C.F.R. 560.201. Once I contacted a Washington, D.C. law firm that specializes in OFAC matters and was provided with the law, I fired her and requested the return of the fees she was withholding from me. Her reply was that my request is “illegal” and that I am disrupting her business. I only sent her a handful of e-mails over the course of a month. I am not sure how this can be construed as illegal.
