Stephen Hammers was a referral from another lawyer who could not represent my case, and I approached hiring Steve with some anxiety because I had always applied the skills of the referring lawyer over the past many years. I had no previous knowledge of Steve's work, and hoped that this referral was a solid recommendation. My matter was involved, and the case appeared to be risky. In fact, the referring lawyer (my long time friend) advised me that I stood little chance of prevailing. All that I knew was that I was in the right, and that a good lawyer might be able to prevail. Steve was cautious about giving me any hope at first, but he could see clear pathways to defeating the defendants. He applied his boundless energy to the intellect and resourcefulness that has made him such a superstar in Orange County, and we worked together in an efficient yet highly effective manner to hone the case. His persistence along certain lines of advice that at times were lost on me became invaluable to the direction that the case took, and we developed a momentum that was itself very effective for our success. While we spent time and effort on certain details, Steve never appeared to delay nor overstudy any point. At no time did I ever have the slightest doubt that he had my best interests as his own, and that he was keeping the billing as low as practicable without creating any new difficulties. He predicted a wide variety of events which all came to pass as he described, and portrayed undesirable outcomes that we avoided altogether largely because of how well he articulated their potential negative impacts to me. He kept or improved the calendar originally set, and maintained in his keen mind each item of concern and advantage without the level of discussion that I had anticipated. In fact, he demonstrated extraordinary capacity to divine the intentions and thought patterns of each defendant, whom he never met, better than I ever could and I had known each for over ten years. We prevailed in what I term a "100% victory" over the defendants. Steve took it all in stride, and yet I cannot ever say enough to express my appreciation of his character, his professionalism, his friendship to me during rough periods, and his overall value to the legal profession. He is what ANY client would hope for when life events require legal counsel or representation. I am not a litigious individual, but he was right there when I needed the right lawyer, and I am forever grateful to him and the staff that he has deservedly assembled around him. He is an inspiration to me, and I am quite certain that he will continue to serve as an inspiration to those who need the best lawyer! He is a superb human being, and I am able to enjoy my life day by day going forward simply because of his formidable skills and sharp focus as my lawyer when I needed his help.

I called Stephen G. Hammers to handle a real estate transaction for me because I was having problems reaching an agreement with another party. From the beginning, Mr. Hammers put my mind at ease by telling me what to expect, exlained the procedure and my options and offered some very useful suggestions in going forward with my case. We reside in New Jersey and had an issue with a California rehabilitation facility that refused to appropriately refund to us a large amount of money. Although the facility was horrible, we did not want to get into a lawsuit with them, we just wanted our refund. The attorney fees charged were explained to us up front, and the fees were fair and accurate. We knew nothing about attorneys in California. Stephen G. I was a legal secretary for many years, and my husband and I have had to deal with a few legal issues over the years, and I can honestly say that Stephen G. Hammers was one of the best attorneys with whom we have ever worked. If you need a lawyer in California, in our experience, Mr. Hammers is the best, and if he does not handle whatever type of law you need, I would completely trust his recommendations. We never had the pleasure to meet Mr. Hammers in person, but from our phone conversations and correspondence I would have to say he just seemed like a really great guy!

Mr. Hammers did an outstanding job representing our interests. He was very clear in his explanations, he gave good rational advice and was always available for consultation. Even when it was not always to his best financial interests, he gave his best efforts to protect our position.

Mr. Hammers supported me during a very stressful litigation. He was never "off duty" if I needed him. What a great guy to have as your advocate. Super easy to deal with, but I definitely has that edge needed to be a good litigator... I saw him in action, & he's impressive!
