Prior to my being able to retire, I was "let go" from my position. As a professor, I had never received a bad review in my seventeen years of employment, and my students were very positive about my teaching. I had published books, represented my institution here and abroad and organized major colloquiums. My identity was wrapped up in being a professor, so I was at a complete loss about what to do when I lost my job. I will always be grateful for the help and understanding I received from William Corman. When he entered the picture, his sterling reputation was recognized by my former employers. His efforts on my behalf were taken very seriously. Any attempt I would have made regarding a settlement would have been dismissed. I ended up with a sum of money that would see me through a couple of years if I needed it. Time to pause and reflect on the future without the stress of financial hardship was essential -- required in order to think clearly and logically about how to go forward instead of falling into a lengthy depression. I thank William Corman for his help in making it possible to find my way to work that I enjoy. I am paid considerably more than a professor in my current job. I have recommended William Corman to others, and will return to him myself if I need an attorney. I should mention that my settlement was reached without having to go to court. That was a blessing. And, to add to the positive: William Corman is a personable, kind human being. His presence and attention to our conversations made a painful time for me much less
difficult.

I found myself in a serious employment situation, and was referred to Bill Corman by my sister who had researched local best practice attorneys for me. Bill was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable and articulate about the legal aspects of my case. He is direct and honest, and clearly has a wealth of experience and expertise in labor law. He kept me informed through the process, stayed on point despite my tendency to meander off on my emotions, and was very respectful of my finances in regards to his fees. He was always professional, respectful, and non- judgmental as he gathered information about the case. Bill was able to quickly achieve a positive outcome, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone with a labor/employment issue. He is results oriented and it is apparent that he genuinely cares about the best interests of his clients. If you must seek legal counsel, Bill can definitely get results and minimize the painfulness of the process.

I had taken on a large company where I had worked for personal wrong-doing. I received a lot of rejections from other attorneys; however, I knew that I had a strong case, and knew I just needed to find the RIGHT attorney that saw what I saw in my case.
Then, I met Mr. Corman. He invited me into his office, and listen intently to what I had to say, asked questions, reviewed some documentation that I had. By the end of the meeting he told me that he would take on my case. He also gave me a clear and accurate assessment of how much the fees would be ( he stayed true to this to the end of the case). There were subsequent meetings after that, and he never gave up on me or the case - always keeping me apprised on the progression of my case.
To make a long story short - We won the case!!! Without Mr. Corman's dedication, and belief in me and my case - I could not have won. Thanks again, Mr Corman.

When I was unfairly laid off from the University of California, Berkeley, William Corman helped me with the appeal process. He was calm, knowledgeable, very helpful, and listened carefully. With his help I was reinstated in my position as senior editor and received back pay and benefits for the four-month period of my lay-off. Mr. Corman has extensive experience and I would recommend him highly to anyone with workplace legal issues.
